Burpple Beyond
The Spiced Salmon came with mashed potatoes, salmon roe, arugula and lemon tobiko cream sauce which was quite unique. Portions are quite generous and service is good too! Will be back to try the other items in the future 😋
There are so many new food places at @citygate.sg lately and they look good! We went to @evanskitch and had a set for 2 at $55 with @burpple beyond which comes with 2 mains and 2 drinks 🤗 We had the Spaghetti Pork Stew Stock with Japanese Char Siew Pork Belly which was very flavourful and the meat was charred enough too.
I didn't know there was a @wacaisg hidden in the food court in bugis junction. The acai here is refreshing as usual and I love how we can add cookie butter now too! It's a better deal when we have these with drinks at one for one with #burpplebeyond 🤗
@Teaapothecary.sg serves a wide variety of bubble teas and drinks with various toppings to go with them which are great for hot days like today (and most days). They have some unique flavours too! We had the following drinks all with 25% sugar.
My favourite was the Oolong Milk Tea with pearls. The tea wasn't too sweet and the pearls were slightly chewy too. The Lychee Milk Tea came with lychee jelly and had an interesting flavour that took some getting used to at first but it grew on me after a while. The Pineapple Red Tea was also quite unique though I couldn't really taste much pineapple but it was still pretty good. Cucumber Lemonade was refreshing just that it was too sweet for my liking so I would get it at 0% if I were to have it again.
They're on @burpple beyond so you can get 1 for 1 drinks here too!
Thank you @prsalon for the invite and @Teaapothecary.sg for all the drinks!

Ordered pizza from @happyendingpizza after not having it for awhile and it's still as good as I remember it to be! The Godfather was my favourite with the pepperoni, crispy bits while paired with the smokey BBQ sauce. The Holy Crab was also good, with more crab meat in it than it looks because it was hidden under the cheese. This was paired with the chilli crab sauce which was a bit too sweet for my liking but still pretty tasty! 😋
I liked the Black Cod Soy most, because I love cod and its melt in your mouth texture. The sauce was fragrant with savoury sweet flavours.
The Pork Belly was extremely tender, served with avocado and onsen egg. It was a bit on the fatty side but the fats melted in my mouth. This might be a bit heavy so this is good for sharing.
The Uni Pasta was served chilled and was very refreshing with a fragrant truffle flavour. I like how there was ikura to add to the texture and it was tasty too.
This was creamy without being too cloying and there was the taste of peppers in the cream as well. I like how this pasta came with a lot of other ingredients such as mushrooms, capsicums and cucumbers too.
I liked how this was both creamy without being too cloying and how it has rich flavours along with a generous portion of mushroom and bacon.
The linguine was al dente and the carbonara was the right amount of creamy, not to cloying or salty with the bacon too.
