Came to @tsuiwahsingapore for comfort food and the food was ok, I would have liked it more if all the bread items were more crispy 😆 the milk tea is good though!
The Carbonara Udon was different from the usual carbonara because the pancetta was was rather sweet, not really complementing the cream well.
Heard a lot about @septembercoffeesg and finally visited it recently. We had the Fried Chicken French Toast which had flavours that were nicely balanced for a dish that is both sweet and savoury and the chicken was still crispy too.
Hidden in Everton Park, @myo_cafe offers affordable rice, pasta and side dishes that come in a variety of flavours. We tried the tomyam prawn pasta, laksa prawn pasta, chicken karaage with sriracha mayo and Thai iced tea! Portions were generous and the prawns were fresh too. We just would have liked them more if they were more spicy as the tomyam was more on the sour side and the laksa was rather creamy. The chicken karaage was crispy and made a nice addition to our meals as well 😌
We had Golden Battered Calamari Rings as well and they were very crispy 😋 The batter was flavourful, complemented by the tar tar sauce as well.
This was creamy without being too cloying and there was the taste of peppers in the cream as well. I like how this pasta came with a lot of other ingredients such as mushrooms, capsicums and cucumbers too.
I liked how this was both creamy without being too cloying and how it has rich flavours along with a generous portion of mushroom and bacon.
The Poutine had fries with melted cheese and chef’s original gravy sweet soy sauce. This was just ok and I would have preferred more cheese in this.
The Deconstructed Beef Wellington is a a christmas special and it was interesting but the only part of the dish that stood out was the puff pastry. The beef was a bit tough and more cooked than we asked for it to be.
The Eggstraordinary Eggs was a rather unique dish indeed with crumbed crispy soft boiled eggs, chicken harissa sausage, roasted asparagus, beetroot, and rocket on bread. I liked how the eggs were done but would have preferred it with more flavour.
The atas Kaya toast had sourdough, Kaya, coconut, eggs and gula melaka. The sourdough was chewy, Kaya was fragrant, plus the coconut and eggs made a good combination as well.
The Mac and Cheese had a crisp top and was tasty with the cheddar and bacon in it. It was rich and yet not too cloying.. They have quite a selection of brunch dishes and this place has a nice ambience so I would like to be back to try those in the future. This place is pet friendly too, so we got to see cute dogs as well 😍
