Burgers🍔🐷

One of the better har cheong gai burgers i've had, with the prawn paste flavour being quite distinct. Fried chicken was tender and juicy. The burger Comes with default with shoestring fries that are just seasoned with salt and pepper, but you can choose to top up an additional $2 to change them to truffle/salted egg/chilli crab fries instead

I went for the truffle fries, and while the truffle flavour was kind of lacking (it was present, but i've definitely had ones stronger and better) i appreciated that they weren't at all oily and managed to stay crisp throughout the meal.

The use of crispy fried onions gave the dawg a nice crunch, and added fragrance to the dish on the whole. The sausage was super long unlike what i had imagined😅 I loved the thick, buttery buns which had a crisp exterior and soft and fluffy interior.

From 9.30pm onwards daily, you get to enjoy 1-for-1 on selected burgers and dawgs, and since they are open till 12am, it makes the place a really great supper destination. Perhaps because i was unlucky, or we picked the wrong burger bun, but all of us felt that the dawgs fared better. The beef patty was a little dry and had a really raw beefy stench which i wasn't a fan of, and was only made better because of the spam of sauces and other condiments.

Comes with your choice of 150g of either smoked chicken sausage or prime beef frankfurter. Opted for the beef, and was surprised by the hugeass sausage that came 😅 the sausage was really good, with a firm outer skin that had a good bite, yet wasn't too thick and tough, and the juiciness of the sausage bursting in my mouth with every bite. Truffle taste was present but nothing too strong, the addition of roasted portobello adding to the shroomy fragrance of the dish.

Was slightly disappointed because I had wanted to try their matcha buns, but they were sadly not available when i went ☹️ This classic bun was really good though, with a crisp exterior and a nice doughy chew

Have always loved beef burgers and the burgers here looked really promising (heard good things about it too) with the pinkish interior of the black angus beef patty. However, the patty was sadly a tad too dry and also had this gamey, beefy stench that lingered unpleasantly in my mouth afterwards which kind of made me nauseatic 😣 $16 is a little pricey for a burger of this size, though there is a 1-for-1 special for selected burgers and dawgs (this included) after 9.30pm daily which makes it quite worth it

I think that the food here is generally rather value-for-money, with prices starting from as low as $9.90. You can also choose to top up $4 for a side and a soft drink to complete your meal. Theres options of chips, broccoli&edamame salad and french potato salad for the sides.

Wasn't expecting much, but the burger was actually way yummier and filling than i had expected it to be! The salmon patty was moist and softer than i had expected. Was actually expecting something with a firmer consistency haha. It wasn't fishy nor overly seasoned, which was good. Went for the side of broccoli & edamame salad. The portion size is quite reasonable, tastewise its average i guess~ The sides are pre-packed and stored in a refrigerator, which i wasn't too impressed with, but i guess this IS a fast food restaurant concept after all😅

Would totally dine here again especially since everywhere in jewel is so crowded and food elsewhere is generally steeper.

Kidding, I only queued for about 30mins or so. I would say the same as many reviews you've seen, that there's no way I'd queue more than 30mins for this😹 Not saying it wasn't good because damn it was one tasty burger. That stretchy, drool-worthy cheese encased within a crisp yet juicy fried mushroom patty? Yes please 🤤 In fact, I would say though I'm a big fan of beef burgers, the beef patty was rather underwhelming, being just a little above that of your average fast food chain for me. To cut the story short, would queue 15min for the shroom, but only 5min for the beef.😹 But if you can, of course the shroom+beef option is recommended. .

Okay conclusion: Yes definitely overhyped but let's be real because there's nothing that would justify an hour's worth of queue, at least not for me. I'll be back, when the hype dies down :)

I'd have to admit that I can see why people have been raving about it; it really does taste super similar to beef. I don't think I've had a mock meat that tasted so much like the legit thing before. However, if you've consumed enough beef burgers, you can definitely tell that there's clearly something missing. Its close, but definitely not the same. The patty kind of reminded me of cheap, fast food restaurant burgers whose beef patties aren't even made of 100% beef because of all the chemicals added in.

On a side note, I don't know if its just that we were unlucky; but the fries this time were disappointingly not crisp at all. A shame because I used to love their fries alot 😐

Always a good thing when the waiter asks for your preferred doneness of beef! And thankfully not in vain either, because the beef patty was sufficiently tender and juicy. This burger is a rather simple one in terms of ingredients and tastes, with not much seasoning and sauces, so don't expect a super flavourful burger with all the works!

I could really hear the crackling sound as I removed the wooden stick that held my burger together.
They actually used Beyond Plant Based Patty which looks amazingly like beef (even when you slice through it). The texture was kind of mushy and soft, and surprisingly, it wasn't really salty unlike other mock meat products that I've had.

One gripe is that the waffle fries were sadly limp and soggy from the moment they were served (even Mac's waffle fries are better guys)

The burger comes with a side of cheese crisp which I absolutely loved! Wouldn't have minded more haha they were really addictive. I loved the burger buns, which were buttered and toasted really nicely. The beef patty was disappointing though, being really dry.

A good burger doesn't need to have all that fancy ingredients and sauces, and this burger proved just that. A slab of tender, nicely marinated grilled chicken leg, lettuce and tomato with a dollop of mayonnaise. All these came together with the perfectly toasted buns to make one tasty burger, though I would agree that the price point is a slight turnoff in this case, but pro tip: make a reservation with @eatigo_sg and you can score up to 50% off! (They are also on #burpplebeyond btw)

While I generally liked the food at @glasshousebydhm , the same cannot be said about the service, which kind of ruined my dining experience there with my friends. Having been there more than once, I knew that they would serve water free of charge, but one particular staff actually served us Evian (atas $9 water btw) and then claimed that she was just trying to do her job of upselling their products to customer (when she didn't even have the courtesy to inform us that we would be served water that was chargeable). What a shame because the incident was a rather unpleasant disturbance to our meal.

I love burgers, beef especially, and always opt for a beef patty over any other more often than not. However, would recommend skipping this and perhaps opting for the crispy chicken burger which fared better with a large piece of juicy fried chicken. The beef patty tasted overly sweet and had this strange, mushy texture which made me felt like I was eating baby food.😂 I love their sweet potato fries though! Slightly crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy enough inside.
