Dessert
Another microwave-and-ooze matcha bread and this time it's pure matcha lava without chocolate etc. This is one GAO filling that is umami packed and you can really taste that it's made of premium matcha powder š„ŗš slightly on the pricier side compared to DONQ but if you want just matcha without chocolate then you can give this a try! :")
To describe the entire experience might not be my best judgement as I do not visit such cutesy cafes but in terms of the items in the menu, there are plenty for you to choose from such as the Mango Ice with Rice Ball ($6.90) and Thai Milk Tea Bingsu that we have gotten to share. All in all, a pretty decent location for an after-meal sweet treat but with the fierce competition of desserts around the same vicinity, Smile Dessert definitely stood out in terms of its appearance and dƩcor. Will I queue again for this? If the other dessert places nearby such as Ah Chew or Honeymoon Dessert have no queue, I will definitely head there instead. But if Smile Dessert has a shorter queue compared to the rest, I just might visit this place again, for its variety of dessert choices.

The slight bitterness of the Matcha is present. It's actually quite a decent. If you like matcha and light creamy cakes this is for you. If you want an strong intense green tea cake and you don't like it cakes airy and creamy. Do not order. Unfortunately I belong to group 2. Probably not my type of cake.
The Thai milk tea flavour came out strong but not over powering. And surprisingly it wasnāt too sweet like the drink itself. The powder on the shaved ice isnāt soy bean flour but it tasted kinda like biscuit crumbs..? Very very fine Marie biscuit powder. It went really well with the milky shave ice and also the ice cream on top was really good too! We also ordered the Kaya toast which sounded very normal but it was good too, especially the coconut ice cream on top.
Will definitely revisit and recommend to my family and friends! šš»
Yes to new coffee place near office @equatecoffee!
Will definitely be back for their coffee, strong and well balanced with milk. White - Tall ($5.50).
They have small pastries available as well. Mount Ondeh ($7) and CaneleĢ ($4).
If you love cheesecake and cruffins, @keongsaikbakery is a MUST visit.
I absolutely love their Two Face Burnt Cheesecake, Iād even say that itās my favourite rendition of it in Singapore! Keong Saik Bakery has definitely achieved the perfect balance of cheesy, creamy, sweet and earthy from the mix of Matcha & Cream Cheese šµš§. If thereās one thing you need to try there, itās their burnt cheesecake for sure.
We also ordered their cruffins, but as visually appealing as they were, I was underwhelmed by them. Both the filling & the croissant aspects of the cruffins were subpar, but honestly, Iād probably still go back & try their other new and exciting flavours.

Seasonal special, gone on 30th sept
Always loved pine nuts and this one had particularly fragrant oiliness, with a hint of quasi-savouriness. The fig jam is quite muted, but I would believe that it was intentional to allow the pine nuts to shine
Got this during the promotion so 1 houjicha and 1 matcha parfait for $9.9! Preferred the houjicha soft serve as it was more fragrant. The parfait was wholesome, with lots of different types of mochi and jellies, which went well together with the soft serve. It wasnāt too sweet as well! Am satisfied that the staff was generous with the amount of soft serve given!
Mango Shaved Ice š¦ Ordered the wrong one but this one has the "Recommended" label so I thought it will be fine but nahh. Still preferred Mango Snow Ice over this š
The ice has not much taste to it and the ice cream is too thick and sticky. The nicest part will probably be the mangoes. But nevertheless this is perfect for sharing and #myheartisokie for this. Sobs.

Every time i find myself in the east and craving for some Chinese desserts, this is my go to place!
Jin Yu Man Tang serves an extensive selection of Chinese desserts and featured here is the Taro Ball with Grass Jelly + Red Bean & Mango. This is definitely a refreshing dessert to beat the heat with chewy taro balls, sweet red beans and grass jelly that has a good firm bite! The dessert is not too overly sweet as well, which is another plus point!
It originates amongst the wealthyĀ social classesĀ inĀ England in the 1840s. Often it comes with lovely delicate sandwiches, pastries, cakes. I always enjoy afternoon tea. It feel so chill enjoying delicate delicious food. Of course, often the afternoon tea are served in very lovely presentation too.
.
Featuring the Signature Teasery High Tea set from @arteastiq $48++, serves 2. Comes with 2 Specialty Teas of your choice. A simple High Tea set. I like the Cold Lychee Tea. Very refreshing! The Macaron was also not overly sweet. Haha there was a missing Macaron when they served. Luckily we noticed and they add it back for us haha.
