Korean!! π°π·π’π
This majestic, towering mountain of 3 types of ooey-gooey cheese and crisp chicken tenders is truly befitting of its name! Grab a wedge or chicken tender, and marvel at the thick, stringy cheese pull as it makes the journey to your plate π The constituents did feel a little dry beneath the molten cheese though itβs not an issue if you hydrate yourself at the Tuk Tuk Cha located just outside! Supposedly serves 2, but it was a lil too βjelakβ for our party of 5, so make sure to come with an army of hungry friends!! π
A unique take on Korean fried chicken! Slathered in rich and indulgently sticky sweet sauce - which Iβd say tastes quite similar to korean soy sauce - each piece provides a umami kick alongside its satisfying crunch! Chicken aside, I especially liked the toasted tteokbokki (this is coming from someone who dislikes tteokbokki normally) which were crispy and crunchy on the outside while sticky and chewy within...it wasnβt overwhelmingly flour-y at all! Definitely an appetizer one canβt miss when dining here.
The cheesy aroma of Parmesan hit my nose wayyy before this serving board hit my table. This mushroom pancake cooked Korean-style is absolutely LOADED with mushrooms, onions, and most importantly, CHEESE! Lots and lots of it. Each slice comes with a cheese pull that has to be cut meticulously to not create a mess!
Even without the cheese, this dish was executed perfectly. Buttery portobello bits and onion strips meshed well with the Korean pancake batter. Plus it had deliciously crisp edges, making it all the more satisfying. An interesting concept and one that Iβll be back for!
Ordered for 1 pax and though the uncooked form looked a little pathetic upon arrival, I was certainly not disappointed at the end! Basically, the waiters stir it up every so often and you get to watch as each individual part combines to form the red hot tantalizing finale π€€ We really liked the umami gochujang seasoning that thickly coated each strip of chicken! The accompaniments werenβt fantastic...which is why Iβm glad we added sweet potato tteokbokki. Each piece is deliciously soft and chewy, partly due to the insides being filled with sweet potato paste! Quite unique and pairs well with the chicken.
Also, they have a free flow kimchi and salad bar! My favourite of the lot was the pickled radish - tangy and sweet, it did a good job at refreshing my palate in between wolfing down the heavy mains π
