The Italian food at Canada Water Cafe is really pretty good. It helps that it is walking distance from my London home. The pappardelle that I ate was awesome. The pasta is made in house and it was cooked till al dente. I liked it that the sauce wasn't too sourish like canned tomatoes. In fact it was just right. Exactly the flavour I imagined. It's really worth a try if you are looking for good cafe Italian food. The pizzas are worth it too!

I enjoyed this Chia Porridge with Almond Milk (banana, hazelnut, chocolate). It's really a different experience from traditional Asian Porridge. Taste a lot like how we cook our oats. I was pleasantly surprised the flavours came together well since I'm not a fan of oats. There's adequate sweetness and I felt healthy eating it. The gripe was on the sucky service but if you can look past that, the food is good!

This is a unique ice cream parlour where you can select as many flavours as you want for the same price. The best part is you get an instagrammable cone also or you can hand it to your loved one as a gift. I'd like to add that the flavours goes really well together. My cone wasn't sculpted too well but I've seen cones sculpted by other ice cream sculptors that looks really awesome.

The cakes and fresh bakes at Elan Cafe really looks mouth watering. If my stomach pocket and time will permit, I'll eat them all! We tried the carrot cake this time round. London cakes generally have rather sweet icing. Other than that, the cake is soft and spongy. You can taste the distinct carrot cake flavour with every bite.

I have quite a few things to say about their service. But the cake taste awesome!

Trying this 1 star Michelin dim sum further reaffirms my belief that the quality of food in London beats Asia. The one star there is truly legit. Unlike in Asia where one star means using premium ingredients, the one star here uses everyday ingredients and make it special.

I especially like the har gau that is topped with scallop. I like the fat and plump prawns in the siew mai that not only tastes crunchy, it is light and strong in flavour. The other dishes in the basket stands out in their own right. This is simply a joy to eat and all I can ask my friend is why only bring me here on the last day of my stay?!

Had this marvelous experience at Sketch Afternoon Tea set. It's awesome for a few reasons ranging from delicious pastries to an amazing toilet. I found the food to hit the right notes, the scones were near perfect but I was too full to appreciate English scones. The cakes and savories weren't too sweet and fairly light so it made the entire experience easier to finish.

The toilet is amazing. I stepped in and I had a shock. It completed the entire artistic experience at Sketch where every art piece on display is unique. You get live classical music serenaded by musicians there.

The tea selection was good and you can try a range of them while enjoying your afternoon tea. I felt I got good value for the pounds I paid.

Trying Michelin star food in Asia versus London has given me a contrast in terms of how stars get awarded. In Asia, I feel ambiance can sometimes earn the restaurant additional stars. In London, I feel the food deserves every bit of the stars awarded just like at Dinner by Heston. 2 stars and the spiced squab pigeon taste tender, retaining its original pigeon flavours, goes well with the caramelised onions and sauces... the meat is cooked just right and can be enjoyed very much on its own without additional help from sauces.

This isn't to say that the ambiance sucked or the service sucked. In fact, both were impeccable. It's just that the food is graded fairly and not forced to be enhanced by external factors simply because the country lacks the quality to produce enough 2 or 3 star establishments.

Flour and Grape has proven to be my favourite pasta joint in London. This is my second visit and the pasta is as good as ever. It is an added bonus that this generous plate with ingredients spilling from the plate only cost 9 pounds. The entire dish is extremely flavourful and the taste lingers long after you finish. It makes me want to go there and try every single pasta on their menu! The pasta was al dente and the staff were friendly. It's an awesome place to dine!

The price to pay to eat this stir fried cheong fun is to go down this scary basement. The decoration is with greenish lighting and the ambiance is dark. I happened to be the only patron there at that hour which made it worse because it's really eerie. Thankfully the food is nice. A little on the saltish side but it's definitely well fried and power packed with flavour. The service is also really awesome. Worth a try if you are as into fried cheong fun as me.

This is a popular fresh bakery that locals go for their breakfast fix. The selection of fresh bakes is uniquely London. It's an awesome way to start your day if you are here visiting and you really feel English after a meal!

This custard bun from Bun House is an awesome craving fix if you miss the local liu sha bao. Every bite oozes custard so it might get messy eating it. This is as authentic as it can possibility get for traditional dim sum custard buns!

The Spanish omelette or the classic tortilla is truly a winner and Michelin Star worthy. Every bite oozes with flavour. Don't be fooled by the ordinary ingredients, it is an awesome egg dish to have.

I live for the best experiences. Pursuing the most enjoyable food and sharing with everyone.
