Fomo that I gotta try this relatively new! Vietnamese eatery in town. We know who is number one but this Co Chung gives a run for its money with their "authentic dishes". They've got quite a few Vietnamese dishes I have never tried before but this is my first visit. Let's try something familiar, Bun Thit Nuong (Vermicelli with grilled pork & crispy spring roll) 😉
I can't complain about this dish. The grilled pork js well seasoned and very generous in portion. The sweet fish sauce brings all the elements together. The spring roll is crispy and go well with the grilled pork & vermicelli. Wish there could be more veg (a few slice of carrot & basil leaves are not enough.) The grilled pork could be too tough for some but is ok for me. If any suggestions, it would be nicer if some grilled pork pieces won't be too charred and that they use different box (rather than foam) as a food container. 🐡💚🌏♻️

Crab Bisque Soup Hotpot ($48)

The crab bisque soup was a perfect marriage of creaminess and umami flavour. The soup is seafood forward but not excessively so -- it went beautifully with the wagyu beef strips, which only need a quick dip in the boiling soup before the tender pieces can be popped into your mouth.

Raise your hand if you don’t eat beef often like us.
This set will serve you well with crunchy spring roll and don’t forget the accompanied sour sauce to pour on top. It is satisfy with all veggies and herbs in the bowl. The grilled pork belly is plenty as well.

Everything is fresh and they are generous as always with the pork belly fillings! It might be too high street for some but we think safe eating is a key during this pandemic time.

Sharing our favourite eatery when travelling. We are craving pork belly so bad that can’t resist the temptation to order this as an ‘appetizer’! 😄

The pork belly is crispy (a bit dry) but the pickles and vermicelli with fried garlic are on point. Don’t forget your Sweet chilli sauce as it becomes handy to bind each element in this dish.

Soft and nicely cooked (not too well done) beef briskets. We love how generous they are with basil leaves. Pho is really a staple during this flu season. Keep you warm and drive virus away! 💪

Good quality dish with plenty of pork loins. The broth is also tangy with a hint of spices. Notice the emeji mushroom with coriander. No wonder why it is a crowd pleaser bowl!

Sometimes we need nothing fancy (just 3 spring rolls), vermicelli noodle on top of crunchy cabbage bed and we feel right at home 🏠 . This noodle dish is simply refreshing, packed with greens and full of flavour (sweetness from chilli sauce). We haven’t put any extra sauces though they provide plenty of sauce choices at the counter. 👌

The menu at this place gives us a hint that this place is authentic. We just can’t wait to take a bite when we are served with this pork roll. The other fillings like carrot & coriander are well covered with heap of sliced pork. 🤩 The sandwich filling is so juicy and go well with crunchy baguette . We haven’t manage to trace down Pate but we know we are in good hands as their ingredients are prepared fresh daily with no msg & preservative. 🤟 So glad to find this healthy Vietnamese food in Novena

Why go too far when we can have the Vietnamese banh mi in the hood. 😎 It is juicy pork belly with crunchy baguette and pickle fillings (carrots, onions we think). We love the new packaging (bamboo basket & food wrapping paper) PLUS there are plenty of green corianders to munch on. 🍀

We prefer B6: Sautéed Lemongrass Pork to this Set as this B5 Set is rather too sweet. Go there during weekday to enjoy this set that comes with your drink choice (Viet Black coffee or with condensed milk/ lotus tea / bottle of water)

A well executed dish (Bun Thit Nuong) but we had grilled lemongrass chicken instead of the usual grilled pork. Nicely chopped cha gio (spring rolls) are served with Vietnamese pickles, roasted peanuts. For Vietnamese street food in SG, we really enjoy So Pho (Changi T.3 outlet). The same can’t be said for So Pho So good in Novena outlet. A good Vietnamese lunch spot here!
