Couldn't keep my eyes off this sticky date pudding, plus the lady-boss, Zenna was so friendly and coaxed me to try it since it was a daily special and probably wouldn't be back in sometime. This was so moist and fluffy I died a little inside. Though I would prefer if it had those lovely medjool date pieces inside of it, this has got to be the cheapest (though also the smallest) sticky date pudding I've ever eaten. It was perfect to just wipe down by myself and not feel guilty at all since it's (relatively) lighter than your regular sticky date pudding. Zenna even asked if I wanted more toffee sauce 🤤
This is the perfect treat for the days I want something lighter to eat, but I still need cake. The cakes here are so light and fluffy, and the flavour profile is so strong! The black sesame taste was very fragrant and the icing at the top was a perfect compliment. The pistachios were a little soggy though, but I felt like the perfectly done cake was just so good I had no complaints. You can't tell the difference between this and a non vegan cake at all, I promise! Really goes to show how cakes don't need animal products to taste good.
Dreaming of the cupcakes I had here 2 weeks ago. One of the best cupcakes in Singapore, because they are soooo moist and fluffy (though equally sinful and delicious). I want my cupcakes!!! I love their cinnamon brown sugar and their (rarely seen, but still my favourite) peanut butter and jelly cupcake. Even at room temperature they taste so GUD ❤ I need this now :(
Made in a traditional stone oven, these glorious banana cakes were sublime. With their aromatic banana flavour, and the perfect balance of sweetness and oiliness to keep the sponge sufficiently moist without crumbling, this is the most perfect banana cake ever. Apparently, they taste better after one day, because the flavours of the banana intensify, but if they came piping hot straight out of the oven, I wouldn't mind devouring a few by myself immediately. The best part is the slightly charred, caramelised layer. Wish this was in Singapore, then I could buy it so much more often.
P.s. Courtesy to my wonderful siblings for queuing 20 minutes just to buy this back for me, just because I kept asking for them 😂
Finally back after a brief hiatus for exams, and first stop is to satisfy major cake cravings! Here we have the humming bird cake, strawberry tofu cheese cake and carrot cake. I have got to say my favourite was the hummingbird cake. Not overly sweet, with just enough buttercream and adequate amounts of pineapple stuffed within moist cake. And chopped pecans!!! The strawberry tofu was slightly overpowered by the actual strawberries inside the jelly but the jelly cheesecake was really lovely! Lastly, the carrot cake was good by itself, but the orange buttercream just got too cloying and over powering. Can't wait to try more of their cakes! 😍
Super rich and overloaded in taste. I don't really like cakes that have alcohol in them (but this was really good) I really love the hazelnut core in the middle, tastes like homemade Nutella.
Average tasting carrot cake with an average size (relatively small for it's price) but they do a really zesty awesome cream cheese. Other than that, the cake itself is not very moist or interesting, very average cake but not too sweet at least!
Had the green tea red bean and mascarpone tea cakes, with the mascarpone being too sweet for my liking but still decent for a tea break. One slice was 2.50 which was very reasonably priced and although it wasn't moist, it was relatively fluffy!
Pistachio cake (made will real pistachios) and espresso ice-cream as a after dinner treat in order to fatten up my brother before he flies off! :) the espresso ice cream was seriously strong and good (I think it's homemade? I forgot to ask!) but the pistachio cake was seriously the bomb, being such a flavourful dense cake. My only gripe is how for 16 dollars (excluding GST and service charge) they only give two thin measly slices. :( more please!!
Happy Mother's Day to all beautiful mothers out there ❤️ Celebrating Mother's Day today as well with my momma and we got this lovely Cedele cake which was absolutely delish, with the alternating layers of light sponge and real STRAWBERRY cream bursting of flavour in my mouth. A well deserved treat for my momma too 🙆🏻
This is seriously steep for its size ($10) , but I've never found pistachio tiramisu anywhere else, and they make such a well-balanced tiramisu - how can one resist?! So yes, I order this almost EVERYTIME I'm here 😅 And also because tiramisu is my mom's favourite dessert hehe
My friend got these Hokkaido cheesecakes from Tampines Isetan where they are currently having a food fair! I don't know whether I'm having a cheese-related obsession as of lately (I'm not a cheesecake person, BUT I HAVE EATEN at least 5-6 cheesecakes this month??) but these were really good nonetheless and we creamy, without being overly rich on the palate and a perfect balance of dense and fluffy.

Huge sweet-tooth, and yes - I do attempt to eat dessert for every meal.
