Back to our fav egg (and hamburg, but mainly the eggs) place! Tried the ponzu radish sauce this time (always had the original sauce previously) which came with a saucer of yuzu soya sauce on the side and a container of grated radish. It provided a good tangy sourness to the saltiness of the hamburg steak. Eggs are still fabulous as always :)
They're having a promo till year end where the price starts from $9.90 (ok $1 cheaper but still) so back again 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Super worth it, with the free flow eggs (!! scrambled eggs, onsen egg which I balanced on my hamburg 🙂,etc etc) and the super awesome salad bar. I guess the Keisuke man must have realized that since he was giving out free flow eggs in his other branches anyway, might as well up the game a bit (daz great I love you Keisuke man). The Hamburg Set (and free flow jap rice) was great as well, so happy my bf (who doesn't like to spend much on food) loved this place 😋(he was exclaiming throughout the meal about how much this is super worth it lol).
Most unfortunately I was so full that I forgot to eat the watermelon slices from the salad bar 😭😭😭 This warrants another visit soon
Missed you so much. Also the free flow eggs and bean sprouts.
p.s. They're having a promotion at this outlet now until the end of June where the ramen is only $9.90 YAAS 🍜🍜🍜
Braved the queue (~20min) for Lobster King. Ordered the Miso Lobster Broth and Spicy Miso. While the miso in the lobster broth is a welcome addition to the normal rich soup, I still prefer the kick in the Spicy Miso version 😋
You know the hotplate tofu from zichar stores? The one where the only thing that matters is the egg base bubbling from the heat of the plate, which should really be called "Best Egg Carpet Everr"? Well here you have a fried omelet as a soft blanket over the typical Crab Broth Ramen instead. The texture was akin to the hotplate egg//scrambled eggs with that desirable undercooked lightness, while my bf said it reminded him of gooey orh luah 😋 with a surprisingly fragrant savouriness to it. Add that to the absolutely delish ajitsuke tamago PLUS the free flow hard-boiled eggs... #noregrets #eggislove
After trying the Lobster Broth from Keisuke Lobster King (SO GOOD but SO INTENSE) and the Crab Broth from Keisuke Tokyo Dining (kinda meh), the Crab Broth Ramen here ranks somewhere in the middle in terms of richness. It's not as overwhelmingly rich and flavourful as the Lobster Broth, but is definitely better than the Suntec branch. We easily slurped up the entire bowl of broth. The spiciness, as usual, added a welcome kick that complemented the seafood flavour (there's only a certain nuance hinting at a crab flavour which slightly differentiates it from the Lobster Broth).
Aside from the usual tonkotsu ramen, Ramen Dining Keisuke Tokyo also serves Crab Stock, Chicken Stock as well as Niboshi (Japanese dried fish stock) as the soup bases. Chicken stock I'll be trying at Tori King one day, so crab stock it is! The crab broth was like a close cousin to the Lobster King broth, though it pales in comparison in terms of intensity and umami-ness. The noodles are a thicker type, which reminds of me the Chinese 黄面 🤔 Meanwhile, I was just mourning over the fact that this outlet does not have free flow eggs 😭 and stuffed my face with their bean sprouts.
ps. many families were dining here because kids get free Kids Ramen!
Given how much I adore the original Ramen Keisuke, I was really excited to try their Lobster King concept.
Tried the Spicy Miso Lobster Broth Ramen (Special) first, which came with all the glorious toppings (flavoured egg, seaweed, bamboo shoot, prawn wanton, prawn ball, pork chashu, chicken chashu), and wow. The depth of flavour of the lobster broth was much more intense and pronounced than the usual Keisuke tonkotsu broth. The creaminess of the Lobster Broth Ramen Rich Soup really enhanced the 🐟🐠🦀🐳🐬🦀 flavour further. Go for the Miso/Spicy Miso as the miso slightly dulls the richness and intensity of the lobster broth; the creamy Rich Soup tastes WOWZA at first but might be too much by the end of your meal (or maybe customize the 'Taste of the Soup' to 'Light' when you fill in the order form). Or JUST GO FOR IT. FINISH ALL THAT LOBSTER GOODNESS.
p.s. The chicken chashu (why so tender??) and handmade prawn balls were my new favourite toppings, though the champion is still the crowd favourite soft boiled egg.
