Each combo set comes with hot stone rice and side dishes and your choice of soontofu. I got the oyster one (ala carte price $21.90) it comes with oyster, mussel and shrimp. Good value for the amount and quality of food! Who would have thought youâll get decent unagi in a Korean restaurant đ
Strong contender to fight the one from Wang dae bak
The set comes with pork belly, prime beef rib, seasoned chicken, kimchi jiggae.
Ala carte order during lunch. It is massive, definitely bang for buck. And it is the ideal sharing item! Love the crispy edges, with the soft doughy centre, very tasty batter with generous amount of kimchi sprawled all over! My friend and I polished the whole thing off before we knew it, and this was on top of our own mains đ
It is a little greasy though, good to wash down with something light and clear like the ginseng chicken soup!
Crispy chicken tenders in a spicy, sweet glaze that is so crispy and sticky youâll coat everything in this! The spicy gojuchang red pepper paste adds a ton of flavors, spicy and savory, balanced by the sweet and acidic notes of the brown sugar and rice wine vinegar. The tteokbokki was soft and chewy, a lot better than most of my experience with it.
Will definitely be back to try other items from this modern Korean tapas bar!
Meltingly tender juicy bone-in beef short rib with a delicious Korean sweet soy marinade, which was an excellent complement to the generously marbled meat. Just look at that sear on the meat! Unlike American and European-style short ribs, which include a thick slice of bone-in beef, Korean-style short ribs are cut lengthwise across the rib bones resulting in a thin strip of meat. (Flaken meat) Nonetheless, you still get that mandatory fall off the bone texture!
Enjoy this with the makgeolli (Korean rice wine). They serve the original along with tons of interesting flavors!
Donât miss out on the deal to try this using the 1-1 Burpple Beyond app (there are some exclusions, please check T&C, but this item is applicable for redemption from meat section)
This is DA BOMB. Love how flavorful the garlicky sauce is and the chicken pieces are so tender they practically fall off from the bone. Only thing I donât get on this dish is the rather unnecessary sides - the hard boil egg and salsa. I dare say the chicken is good to stand on its own. Oh well đ
Good place for group gathering with their big portions. Plus, you get to order more and enjoy a greater variety of chicken dishes too. Delighted that Chir Chir is on Burpple beyond! So much value to get 1-1 deals here. Wheee! đ
This is a hearty chicken in soy based stew served with chewy Korean noodles, topokki & beansprouts. Option to get spicy version. (Dried chilies yesssss!!) When the dish is served, youâve got to stir the noodles and beansprouts into the gravy with the stacked lightly battered chicken.
As a result, the flavor of the stew is not immersed into the meat which is a pity. The chicken is still good though I definitely prefer the traditional Andong-jjimdak (Korean Soy Sauce Braised Chicken Noodle Stew) where the chicken is braised in a sweet but mildly fiery stew with onions, carrots and potatoes. With braising, what you get is the fall-apart tender meat that holds all the wonderful flavor underneath.
This is the first time ever ive come across the option to have dak galbi for 1pax!! Quite tasty, big chunks of chicken thigh meat. Just a bit too much glass noodle for my liking! Very filling as it comes with topokki too! This place even has army stew for 1 pax! Pretty amazing huh
Why this place is awesome - they don't give crappy banchan! Even the most basic kimchi doesn't taste like those commercial ones. And that beancurd skin thing is sooo good (I usually go for 3 servings). Sometimes they have this lotus root with sesame. That's great too.
