Today’s lunch situation of brunch. Scrambled eggs, crispy rosti which has potato shreds so fine it was really crispy, and sautéed spinach, which perhaps could do with a bit less salt. Our Pimp-our-breakfast, which I’d suggest getting the first two and the mushrooms.
💫
Iced mocha here was thick, frothy and every bit of indulgence. Comfort food for the weekends, and savouring it because this is why weekdays’ skimping are for.

Found a meal between breakfast and lunch for what some may call 'aimless' chats. It's called brunch. But hey, it's meaningful, quality conversations

where little slices of life, as vibrant as the colours on this plate, and as delicious and exciting as this mix of soft and fluffy textures; savoury with a tinge of sweet, coupled with a heady buttery-eggy fragrance; are told.
💫
Stuffed French toast with bacon, gruyere cheese and vine tomatoes ($18).

A warm bowl that came with a good whiff of sesame oil aroma and earthy fragrance from the brown and wild rice mix. Split the poached egg in the middle for the ooze, before cracking the duper-crispy purple potato chips into pieces with the wooden spoon. Then mix it with the slightly-spicy-sour yet succulent pineapple kimchi; wild sprouts; into the crunchy rice grains bibimbap-style. Vibrant flavours, colours and textures, much like the joy of the prospects of unbridled freedom for the coming days.If I'd be picky, it'd be the pale (poached?) chicken breast, which wasn't dry and lightly sweet - expected a bit more flavour. Guess the plain background was good for all the things happening already in the bowl. Tasty, healthy, nutritious goodness. The kind of food right down my alley. 💫

Rainbow Rice Bowl ($16) + chicken ($3) or salmon ($4). The purple sweet potato chips can seriously be a snack on its own. Glad I specially checked out the new menu here at TBB

Truffle fat fries - made the mark, but not awesome. The must-order here is the moist yet fluffy, so-warm sticky date pudding with vanilla bean ice cream and scotch sauce ($10). A tad sweet, so get it to share.

Thai Tea Toast with Thaj Milk Green Tea that is just the right sweetness. $5.50 for the set at lunch. Fun fact: This may be healthier - because I witnessed them using an air fryer to 'fry' the toast 😂 I think I preferred the pandan dip slightly more

Quite a bit of dough we had at The Lab. Heisenburger. Pretzel with butter. The best was that thick Nutella milkshake full of Tim tams, wafers, choc brownies and everything nice. No joke, share.

Churros with a salted egg yolk dip (RM 16.90=~SG5.50)across the causeway. Is this baked? Barely a trace of greasiness and the dip is hands down one of the top on my list. Imma return. IG:tiara_star

Hearty fish soup noodles, apparently quite famous here with the queues at mealtimes and it's said you must try the fried mackerel. An old name - pretty good but didn't wow for me though still worth a try. #fishsoup #toapayoh #sghawker

Really tender beef, but it kind of reminded us of Chinese braised flavours. Oh but the buttery mash potato😍. Standard warm cafe vibes, though its popularity also means it's crowded on weekends/PH. Prices for food are on the higher side for a cafe, and our coffees definitely could be better (skip the iced mocha).

Key lime pie ($7) and flat white over a great catchup. The dessert made up for the (soso)coffee here. Skip the iced mocha especially #flatwhite #populuscoffee #herpenandfork #sgblogger #sgfoodie #8dayseat #burpple #vscofood #openricesg #cafehoppingsg #instafood #instafood_sg #onthetable

Pretty amazing coffees here. This is their signature wicked mocha. It is a mint mocha actually, so pretty I almost couldn't bear to drink it. This is good for those who don't like a strong coffee taste. ($5.80/$7.80 for iced).

Nutella Brownie Shake. I was a gleeful and hyper excited little kid over this. Decadence heaven in every sense of the word, esp in this heat ($13). 😍😍😍Enough said. Don't forget to share
