Haven’t had Jollibee in a while so we went straight for the bucket 😂 You get to choose original, spicy or a mix, with 3 legs and 3 thighs, served with side of their signature dipping gravy. Loved how juicy the chicken pieces were with crisp skin, though the ones we had this time were pretty fatty. Definitely satisfies if you’re craving fried chicken, but skip their fries!

Crispy chicken thigh dusted with a hot pepper blend and paired with slaw and pickles. Just thought this was a touch too salty, but otherwise, the chicken thigh was fried crunchy and retained juicy in the middle. We don’t get to choose much from the Shake Shack burger menu since we don’t take beef, but would get this again. You won’t be very full with just one burger though!

The Cajun fries fared much better, ours were done just right and crunchy.

Passed by Mom’s Touch’s new outlet at Centrepoint and they were running this 1 for 1 promo for their Mom’s Thigh Burger. Was unfortunately quite disappointed in it - the overall burger was dry and very much lacked sauce. Buns could be fluffier and the fried chicken thigh wasn’t of that big a size. The ratio of meat was also less of the batter. I did enjoy the crunchy fried chicken skin parts, but it’s not something I’d get again.

Managed to get a deal from the new Macs’ app game - $1 for this Mala McShaker Fries with any purchase! This was probably the shaker fries I was most looking forward to 😂 Liked that the seasoning isn’t as salty like the classic seaweed version, but it’s also pretty mild. It’s not the kind of flavour that comes right away, its spice and numbness come more towards the end. In mlxg standard, this feels like a 微辣 (mild spice), but I guess its understandable to cater to the masses.

Last Bread Yard visit was during the schooling days! For something sweet, their banana fosters french toast has fluffy Hokkaido brioche topped with their homemade vanilla ice cream, caramelised bananas in rum, crushed pistachios, a side of raspberry jam and our favourite of the dish, strips of candied bacon. Would say this felt more like a dessert due to the overall sweetness, and definitely recommend to have this shared. Had this with Burpple Beyond for 1 for 1 mains, but take note that it’s now 20% off mains!

Was so excited to try this! The yuzu half smelled a little artificial at first, but glad it didn’t taste that way. Surprisingly good match of flavours here, even though I’d definitely like the yuzu to be stronger. It’s not to sweet too, will get it again!

Grabbed 1 for 1 burger sets for lunch today from The Goodburger food truck! Had their Black Tie burger that came with a juicy impossible patty, cheese, truffle aioli & rocket. Had this a while back and it’s still as good, lots of flavour packed in it without being overwhelming. Fries could do with more truffle but they were nicely crisp. There’s a 50 cents charge for takeaways, but they have a few tables for dine in as well.

Haven’t had KFC in the looongest time but popped by cause a friend said their fries are different now. Loved the crunch and was lucky we got ours piping hot! The popcorn chicken on the other hand, was tough and lukewarm.

Didn’t get to try these the last time they were launched, but glad I did this time. Definitely prefer them to the original ones for the nice kick in spice!

Tori-Q added tamagoyaki to their options of skewers! It’s one of the pricier sticks but I’d get it again. Portion was good while the egg was sufficiently fluffy without being too sweet.
