Not a fan of cheese? Atmastel still has you covered with its pure San Marzano tomato sauce and seafood (clams, squid, and prawn) option. The omission of cheese allowed the pie to hold up well, giving it added crispiness at the same time.
Word of caution: The chilli spice is potent here, despite its luscious and deceivingly harmless appearance.
An unusual combination that surprisingly works well. Thick, crunchy, and naturally sweet spears of asparagus cushioned on a mozzarella bed topped with broccoli cream and grana panado, and studded with thin-crisp San Daniele prosciutto chips—like a crunchier, less-sweet version of bak kwa.
Prosciutto is manually shaved here to achieve the right cut of marbling, which undoubtedly affects its taste. You'll find that evident from the captivating flavours of this prized ham.
Psst. Don't miss the 1-for-1 pizza promo that's ending on 31 May! 12 flavours available. Go forth and experience your #LoveAtFirstCrust today!
Am I sick of them pies yet? Au contraire. If anything, it makes me want more of those floppy pizzas 🍕
We start with the lightest, simplest, and my favourite of all—pizza Margherita ($26). The bright, fresh flavours of low-acidity, sweet San Marzano tomatoes were allowed to shine through this Neapolitan classic, complemented by slabs of mozzarella fior di latte (from cow's milk), fresh basil, salt, and olive oil on a thin and soft crust. All pizzas at Atmastel are made with 100% stone-milled flour from Italy, fermented for 48hours to give that delicious yeasty, tangy aroma and crisp outer crust.
Every night should be pizza night, that Atmastel knows full well and in response to that, will be launching a 1-for-1 '#LoveAtFirstCrust' members' promo from 2 to 31 May. Simply sign up during your visit, redeem the offer, and get rebates for your next meal! #AtmastelSG #burpple
Thank you Tiffany @atmastelsg for hosting us, and @burpple for the organising this!
Besides the a la carte menu, they also do a number of special dishes on their blackboard, including braised beef cheek and a beautifully seared seabass, which was fresh and supple with a crisp, golden skin, paired with vongole & vegetables in garlicky white wine sauce.
Their rendition of this jet black beauty was pretty tasty with the right amount of creaminess, but somehow a tad one-note; salt seemed to overwhelm the umaminess of squid ink. Texture-wise, it was a little more cooked than I'd like, but I guess that's generally more acceptable for most locals. That said, my family still enjoyed it and it does provide great value for its price.
My favourite of the lot. Creamy, well-cooked grains simmered in cheese and white wine. Love the punch of flavour from that dollop of blue cheese on top.
The classic melon & Parma ham combination reinterpreted in the form of a thick, chilled soup. It was refreshing in every sense of the word, but felt more like a dessert instead of a starter.
Fresh burrata at only $16? And not shabby at all, might I add. Although this one doesn't ooze like some I've had before, it was still soft and creamy, nicely balanced with Parma ham's deliciously salty flavours.
No adornments needed when it is this well seasoned; the permeating smoky savouriness does all the talking.

Some eyeballs might have popped at the price tag, but I assure the smelly cheese lovers here that this one is worth.every.penny.
The high quality make-up of an irresistible combination: Fresh mozzarella, parma ham, fresh figs, and walnuts, finished off with a beautifully sharp finale -- the delightfully pungent Gorgonzola blue cheese. Sweet, savoury, and punchy flavours melded seamlessly, arresting the senses bite after bite.
We had the opportunity to sample some popular antipasti that showcased the fresh produce and vibrancy of Italian cuisine. In the foreground, the Involtino di Melanzane all'Ortolana ($14) was a melange of flavours comprising herbed ricotta stuffed in grilled eggplant and marinated vegetables such as artichoke, olives, and juicy-sweet peppers. Light yet flavourful, it's a good palate opener without weighing the stomach down.
My favourite was the Mixed Bruschetta ($12), a trio of crusty sourdough topped with a variety of ingredients that were simple yet understated with a rustic homespun quality. I couldn't get enough of the creamy homemade ricotta and sweet chili jam, and also adored the pumpkin purée version, which had a delicate, intrinsic sweetness enhanced by the heady housemade pesto.
Innovation is wonderful, but there are times when all you want is a good old classic. Peperoncini el Salsiccia ($24) ticks all the boxes with fresh key ingredients sourced from all the best regions in Italy, featuring homemade fennel sausage, mixed chilies on a delicious tomato-based pizza. True to Neapolitan style, the pizza dough is light and airy with a beautiful leopard-spotted crust -- formed when the pies are baked at high temperatures in a wood-fired oven.
Simple, tasty, and doesn't leave you feeling too stuffed even after a few slices. #pizzafabbrica #burpple #foodspotting
