Overall, the bowl wasn’t as good as I’d imagine, as the sauce was lacklustre and beef was a wee bit tough. At a $10 price point, it’s still worth a shot but once is enough haha (the queue tho).
A rustic-looking Japanese izakaya with Jim Beam highball and all the usual grubs, but with a twist.
Absolutely lovin the kushikatsu, deep-fried to perfection. Prices are decent for food in Clarke Quay, and it’s available till late (good for hangover supper). The only inconvenience would be paying $3/head for some white cabbage... a mandatory cover charge.
Tucked away in International Plaza, KAN SUSHI’s helmed by handsome Chef Kan, who provides impeccable service alongside his team. He made every sushi according to his guests’ eating pace and explains each sushi, a lot like an omakase experience. Prices are decent and food’s very authentic.
Aburi Engawa (flounder fin) was my fav, nikiri sauce complemented it very well. I also recommend trying the Nama Kaki Ponzu (japanese oyster), $9/pc. I’ve never tasted such a huge, juicy oyster in Singapore. It almost brought me back to Japan.
$: around $70-80/pax for a good sushi experience
Heaven in your mouth, I meant... My mouth
For 1000 Yen including sea urchin, otoro & anago... It's definitely a steal.
