Places For Delicious Pork Ribs

The succulent, greasy, tender and flavourful meat that falls off the bones, leaving you with sticky fingers. Hello carnivorous friends! (A growing list!)

Ribs and sandwiches as fast food? We gotcha.
At Ticklish Ribs, you have a party of porky-ness where cut out ribs are served creatively in a bucket and a subway sandwich made fresh at the counter with your choice of porky meat.
Their signature BBQ Ribs comes in full rack (6 ribs) and half rack (3 ribs) at RM 38 and RM 20 respectively. Half rack is really not enough and very little. Not quite sure if they gave a full rack because my full rack of ribs order seemed very little! Available in spicy and not. However, their "spicy" is not spicy at all. No heat. With this impression I doubt their "not really" or non spicy will be flavorful. However, ribs are undeniably tender, easy to eat and dirty your fingers with the rib sticks!
Ticklish Ribs pork sandwich is pure pork meat and bread subs. 7 choices of mean from the scale of fatty ribs and pork leg to lean loins. Their choices are extensive I suggest taking your time checking out their menu @ticklishribs! Recommended from the staff are "pull your leg" and "you braised me up"; punny I know 😝 I had "pull your leg", which is basically pulled pork in BBQ sauce, in charcoal bread with an add on of caramelized onions. There's three types of bread offered namely wholemeal, white, and charcoal. Their charcoal bread tasted really weird to be honest. I won't recommend it but advice to choose wholemeal or white bread for their sandwich. Prices vary depending on your meat of choice. A bummer how it's just pure meat and bread, without any lettuce or tomatoes. Caramelized onions was incredibly salty too!
Something I disliked is their food are ALL very salty! Even my friend who has higher "sodium tolerance" thinks it's very salty. Especially the pulled pork. Ticklish Ribs gotta tone down their salt or people are gonna get stones.
Free flow of soda and a choice of fries/garlic bites in their set menu. OMG their fries were covered in too much salt too! 😓 Food: 6/10 Price: 7/10 (RM 38 full rack ribs; RM 16 pulled pork sandwich - prices are quite reasonable but the ribs at Naughty Nuri's is much cheaper and more in portion of a "full rack"

An Indonesian inspired restaurant. This slab of pork ribs is so delicious I think this is the best ribs I've tried by far. Squeeze some lime on top of the meat and rub the chilly sauce on top for some delicious kick. (Optional. Having it by itself is delicious too!) Very tender meat. Soft and flavourful. Falls of the bones without any hassle. Finger licking good! Thank god they did not drown the meat in BBQ sauce.
The manager/owner of the restaurant cut it up for us and says the our ribs was very fresh because he could cut it with minimal effort. If it's tough, it's quite an old meat. He would send it back and give us a fresher one.
Although I had quite a tough meat on my second visit, other parts were still as delicious. My first visit was the best though!
If you're looking good BBQ pork ribs, head over to Naughty Nuri's, just behind Bricks and Barrels. They also have other delicious porky dishes! To be reviewed soon!
Food: 8/10 Price: 9/10 (RM 39 for one slab!! Comparing this to ante's kitchen, the portion is about the same. But the price difference is huge! I think the price for this slab of ribs is really worth it. 😁)

and Mrs. Cafe, Iberico is still a very new place. It was quite empty when I went there. Iberico is named after Iberian black pigs. They are having a few set lunch promotions which is really worth it!
I had Honey Glazed Iberico Ribs (Half Rack 630g). It's their specialty and you get a choice of ribs by weight. I had the second lightest for half rack. Inclusive of two sides of your choice.
The ribs were so amazing. Falls off the bones in every bite. It is best eaten with hands. Just saying!! 😁 But if you don't want to dirty your hands, plastic disposable gloves are provided. Smart!
The honey glaze was grilled to the pork perfectly. So fragrant and sweet. It really complements the tender meat! Kudos to the chef for grilling the meat at perfect temperature and timing.
I was stuffed by the end of the last rib because I tried another dish too. Full rack of ribs would be great for sharing if you have a big carnivorous crowd.
However, I'm sure if you gave me a pink or black pig, I can't differentiate it. Lots of marketing differentiation techniques here aye. 😅 Food: 8/10 Price: 6/10 (RM 16/100g - prices are quite pricey. Maybe because it's a black pig. My half rack was already RM 100.80. And it was the second lightest. Half a rack is really little)

[UPDATE: As of 2015, the price of ribs has changed from RM 75 to RM 45. YAY!]

Char-grilled hickory piglet ribs, glazed with house-made BBQ sauce, served with fries, spicy mayonnaise coleslaw, and chilly sauce. This slab of pork ribs is incredibly huge. The waitress told me it will be just enough for ONE person, but no. Trust me. Having a big chunk of protein in front of your face makes it very hard to finish it all by yourself. Especially for those with small appetites or have not ate for a week.
Deliciously grilled till tender. MEAT FALLS OF THE BONES WITH JUST A NUDGE! That's the most important factor for a good pork rib. The house-made BBQ sauce really compliments it, meat is very tender and some parts of the pork fats melts in your mouth with a hint of sweet crispy edge. Although the BBQ sauce was literally drowning (not drizzled) on the ribs, it was still tolerable with fries and some table water to cleanse it.
Food: 7/10 Price: 6/10 (RM 75++ - Definitely worth a try, but it may cause a hole into your pocket. Consider sharing the cost with someone to save your stomach from exploding! 😅) Bad photo quality. But it's the only one I have! 😞

Morganfield's is known for their meaty, huge, and generous portions of BBQ a food. The ribs were deliciously cooked till tender. I got so happy when the meat just separated from the bones easily. Love the BBQ sauce.
This was half a rack. But I can't even finish it! It's very filling. I think it was marinated perfectly because every bite was delicious. Until the last few ones where I was too stuffed to eat them all. Luckily I shared!
But after trying so many pork ribs, I still love the ones from Naughty Nuri's.
Food: 6/10 Price: 6/10 (Forgot the price! Sorry! But they always have reasonable prices for their meats and sometimes promotion for a big group for sharing platters.)
