Visited during the mid-week where there was a buy two, free for the cheaper one. So the sweet tooth slash greedy me just had to order two (well it's free. So why not!) Triple Berry Bingsu was a favourite of the cashier, nice patient guy at the counter.
Mango cheesecake Bingsu was a pure indulgence, with snow like texture shaved ice with some milk and mango syrup with it. Cubed mangoes and cheesecakes (that can be bought by its slice at the counter) served on top and some lovely raisins that gave some delicious chewy sweetness. The cheesecake was a little too hard though. Crust was too hard to cut through. Cheesecake was at least manageable but still hard 😅 Triple berries Bingsu was sort of the lighter and "healthier" choice (but not really. Still loads of sugary stuff hidden in the shaved ice and syrup drizzled on top). It was indeed delicious. I'm glad I ordered both! Sweet blueberries and strawberries with vanilla ice cream. Simple and nice!
Personally prefer this then Cafe Bene.
Food: 9/10 Price: 8/10 (RM 17.90 for triple berries; RM 16.90 for mango cheesecake - free for my second order!)

Cool presentation but the dry ice effect dies off in a minute.
Not your average vanilla/milk softserve ice cream but it has some cereal taste to it. Quite like a delicious creamy & frozen nestum. Texture of the ice cream is so smooth! The cereals doesn't bother you at all. It just adds great addictive ice cream effect. Hehehe
CHURROS! The churros were delicious! I recommend this topping if you can't decide on their variations because they have the best churros I've tasted. Devour it with softsrve of your choice. YUM!
Next up is the deep chocolate with truffles. So good! Rich and chocolatey. Definitely a go to for chocolate soft serve ice cream. Chocolate bittersweet goodness. And the truffle definitely tastes like the ones in London that I missed dearly! So much bittersweet goodness. If you are a chocolate lover, I recommend this delicious dessert to you! Where else would you find chocolate soft serve as good as this?
The chocolate can be a little filling and not as "light" as you dig in especially if you ordered this combination (chocolate overkill). But it's nice when you share it with someone and wash it down with some free water next to the counter.
Food: 8/10 Price: 6/10 (RM 11 - cereal milk churros, RM 12 - chocolate truffles; serving size was much more generous than Milkcow, although it was a little deceiving to have such a big cup of dry ice and a smaller one on top for the ice cream)

Mission Verdict: 1/3 woohoo! Best tasting soft serve ever! Call me biased but this was my first visit and I already know it's very different from McD. I don't really like comparing with the RM 1 sundae anyway because it's a good pick me up on desperate days. But I will not say softsrve is the "expensive McD". A very far fetched statement. It's like comparing ais kacang and korean bingsu. Different lahh.

Was too full to have their brunch menu but I have to try their famous cake "The King". It is a banana peanut butter cake. It was so smooth and yummy! I'm not sure if my expectations were too high but it wasn't VERY great as I expected. It is one of the best cakes I've tried. I ate it until the last bit of icing was gone! 😅

Will definitely come back for their hot menu!
Coffee of the day is piccolo latte. They have very acidic coffee. But definitely better than S.Wine. Something was just wrong that day at S.Wine. I hope they fix it. TGB doesn't have low fat milk. Which is a bummer.
Overall it was a very happy tea time. What can go wrong with a cake and coffee!
Food: 7/10 (yet to try the famous Norwegian and Ang Moh!😭) Price: 7/10 (RM 11.90 for cake. RM 9 for coffee)

I haven't eaten Claypot Lou Shu Fun in so long. Lou shu fun is some sort of rice noodle shaped like a "mouse-tail" hahahah
The lou shu fun at Fat Spoon is definitely one of the best I've tried. It looks little but the portion is huge and they are so generous with the gravy and meat. The gravy coats all the noodles perfectly for every bite.
Next is the Claypot Beef Noodle. A bit like Vietnamese beef noodles. There's just SOMETHING different about it but I don't know what. Maybe the soup. The soup tastes sour but not overwhelming. It compliments the dish. Very appetising dish.
Also! The menu over here is very pocket friendly and homey. Imagine Chicken ABC soup as a dish! That's something you normally find only at home.

Another thing unique here is they present your bill in Enid Blyton story books. My friend said they used to present their menu in the books. Haha how creative. The interior (and the toilet) is also decorated with very old school things like old comic strips and old school coffee shop chairs and tables!
Food: 8/10 Price: 8/10 (RM 13 - beef noodle // RM 10 - lou shu fun)

Back for the savory brunch menu at The Good Batch. ☺️ I decided to try the Hangover Mess, not the Norwegian because I didn't feel like having seafood that day.

This dish looks really good! Hangover mess is basically corned beef hash (sautéed minced beef with potatoes) and bell peppers, topped with two sunny side ups on top that has amazing runny yolks and lastly a drizzle of hollandaise sauce. Served with a slice of brioche toast.

Taste wise is not bad. The corned beef is really tasty and perfectly seasoned. I love the potatoes! It was my first time trying a corned beef hash too. Not too bad of an experience. What's best is I get to burst the egg yolk over the corned beef, creating a delicious sauce to go together with everything. Yum! Love the toast too! So fluffy, soft and toasted to a nice crunch.

Food: 8/10 Price: 5/10 (RM 20.90 - I must say though, TGB is very expensive. Most of their breakfast menu ranges from RM 20 and above. Cheapest is just SLIGHTLY below 20. Considering the portion and ingredients (especially for the Hangover Mess), it is very expensive! Two eggs, potatoes, minced beef, bell peppers and a small toast with a drizzle of sauce for RM 20? Think about it. I appreciate the chefs effort for making such a delicious meal though. Worth a try but keep your wallet in check!)

P/S. This time I sat by the window. It was quite a nice environment! ☺️

I've tried their coffee here before and they provide rather acidic coffees. Because I tried Piccolo Latte the other day, I'm having flat white today to tone down the acidity. Still rather significant but more drinkable for me. 😅

But the coffee at TGB is not really suited to my taste. Love the swan art though! Yayy! ☺️ Thank you TGB Barista!

Coffee: 6/10 Price: 6/10 (RM 10 - normal price range for flat white. At least they're not overcharging for this?)

A Pie Thing feels like the BurgerLab for pies. You will see people waiting for the shop to open before 4pm, and a long train of people starts to form once it opens. Thank god for the efficient service though.
For savoury, I had the chicken and mushroom pie, topped with mashed potato, mashed peas, and brown sauce, which they call the "Mashacre". It was a massacre because it was so much and messy. It definitely stuffed me up. Luckily I shared the pie. I love the pie crust. It wasn't very thick, nice crispness, fluffy and enough to hold the generous amount of stuffing. I love all of the "mashed' toppings too. One way to make me eat my green peas. Brown sauce was a little too salty, it works well with the whole Mashacre though because they tame the saltiness of the sauce.
For sweet, I had the dark chocolate smores pie. I wanted the sweet pie with an ice cream on top. But I mistaken the Nutella pie for smores pie. Nevertheless, it wasn't bad! A simple crumbly and crusty pie tart with dark chocolate syrup/sauce, topped with melted marshmallows. Sounds like some foodgasm doesn't it! Love it! It can get quite chocolatey after a while because the chocolate sauce is very thick. And the pie is hot! Be careful, you might get sore throat if you dive in right away. I do think the smores pie is a tad bit overrated because it's just an empty pie crust with chocolate sauce and melted marshmallow. But of course, making a great pie crust (not breaking it) is the main factor here.
Food: 8/10 Price: 7/10 (RM 17.90 for the Mashacre - it's quite expensive if you have a set. But you get a drink with this set too. Otherwise you can just get the savoury pie without any topping. I forgot how much was one w/o anything; RM 9.90 for the s'mores pie - very expensive for such a low cost one. I suggest going for others like the Nutella pie or those that are more gourmet to get more value for money. But if you love smores, go ahead! It's quite small though. About 4 inches diameter.)
