Heard a fair bit of this healthy lunch place and finally had the chance to try it. Certainly love the colours and the combination of the raw and cooked vege. The rice was very fragrant from the sesame oil, but why call it brown rice when most of it is hulled rice. 🤔 and the flavours of the soy ginger definitely didn't come through in the chicken. There was barely any soy taste nor even ginger taste. Their version of gochuchang was also a little odd, way too sweet and with an aftertaste that's similar to stevia. Well I would come back to try another meat if I'm in the area. Hopefully the other meats are better.
Love the choice of antipasti available at gastronomia! Got beetroot, artichoke, prawn w asparagus and kale. Though the price was a bit steep at $12.70 for a plate or maybe because I chose all the expensive ones? 🍠🍆
Wanted to eat light before we hit the "bar". Chose chicken soup so that I'll get some protein for the gym session, and not lose out on the vitamins from vegetables. But as for taste wise, they have other better soups like the corn and stew. Really love their bread though, it's so chewy that it is almost like a mochi bread. Haha!
One of my go to place for a simple meal to calm my soul and fill my tummy. Trying one of their special menu item. This was quite a hearty stew with chicken, carrots, omelette and shiitake mushroom!
Still felt like hot soup though it's w hot day.Wanted to try their chicken soup in old coconut but it was sold out :( so I went for the more normal soup. Instead of the typical yam/ pumpkin rice that soup shops sell, they have brown rice topped w cabbage and fried anchovies. As for the soup, it was a typical lotus root soup.
The thunder tea looks really murky here. But really, full of anti oxidants! Strong matcha and mint flavours. I like how the ingredients are not overly oily, like how some thunder tea rice can be(defeating the whole purpose). Although I don't quite like the mock Ikan billis, I must say this was really therapeutic for my headache!
This is definitely healthy and delicious. But the wait and the price is a little painful. As I waited for her to slowly chop the bananas and arrange the fruits topping, I felt like telling her "just throw everything on top and give it to me" A price to pay for pretty food photos I guess. This is just nice for a snack. I like how the granola is nice and crunchy & not overly sweetened.
The paper boxes makes it difficult for photo taking... But definitely do not fall short in taste. Trying out this 2 week old eatery at The Star Vista. Spicy tuna with avocado, cucumber, jicama and peppergrass. The tuna is super fresh and literally melts in your mouth. Really like how the jicama adds a slightly sweet and crunchy flavour to the sushi roll. The peppergrass is very fun to eat as well.
Some salad to get my body ready for all the heaty cny eating coming up during this season. When I first tried the Indian spiced yogurt dressing, I thought it wasn't very impressive. But when I combined it with the tandoori chicken, it was very good!
Call it occupational hazard but I love to eat clean :D got a seared tuna wrap with wholemeal wrap. Love the combi of seared tuna, edamame, corn, cherry tomatoes and romaine lettuce w japanese sesame roasted dressing!
Not the best option for such a hot day. But I couldn't resist the meat fillings! ☺️ I love meat fillings over fish paste!
I fell in love with savoury beancurd when I tried it in Taiwan. So glad that mr bean is currently selling it in their stores with sit down areas. Yum. It actually makes for a hearty lunch!
