Snacks For The Itchy Mouth

Classic choc and cheese martabak. It might be daunting that they only sell the whole slab but don’t worry it will be gone in no time. The martabaks here are very authentic. Don’t be cheated by other martabaks in pasar malam. 🤭

A salted egg lava bread is better than a Bao because all you need to do is microwave for 20 secs! Don’t even need to steam!

😋😋 the German egg tart was so good! Shortbread crust with a tinge of cheese in the egg filling. 🤤 And I love their breads too, the inside is soft and porous and you can really taste the fragrance from the olive oil. The cereals and nuts makes it fun to bite too. It's amazing with olive oil & balsamic or even peanut butter!

Warm sticky rice with sweet mango. At $6.90, this makes a pretty good snack. Only gripe is that the paper tears with the condensation from the rice. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's always nice to have snacks with drinks and I was imagining a huge bowl of avocado fries. Guess reality is different from dreams. Definitely come here to enjoy the $5 denmark beers on tap, but maybe choose something else to snack on! #burpplebestbugis

Look at the egg custard, so smooth and almost dripping! The tart crust could be slightly crunchier but this is almost similar to the egg tarts at Honolulu cafe in HK!

Some churros to kick start the weekends! A snaking long queue at this churros booth. Dont really taste the pandan nor the gula melaka in the pandan churro though. Though exterior is crunchy, it was a bit too hard for my liking though. Some of it were raw as well. 😕

Somehow as you grow older, your taste buds change. My taste buds have evolved to prefer savoury food of the sweet foods I used to like. Love the crispy exterior of the muffin. Though the inside is a tad salty, but makes a nice savoury treat!

I have been craving for egg tarts for a while but didn't feel like eating anything sweet after the Acai berries. This makes for a nice savoury snack.

This is definitely healthy and delicious. But the wait and the price is a little painful. As I waited for her to slowly chop the bananas and arrange the fruits topping, I felt like telling her "just throw everything on top and give it to me" A price to pay for pretty food photos I guess. This is just nice for a snack. I like how the granola is nice and crunchy & not overly sweetened.

Finally got to try this after seeing all the photos flooding my burpple feed. I must say I was disappointed though. The exterior wasn't crisp enough and the inside was on the verge btw uncookness and cookness. It probably would have been better if it was in the grill for 30 secs more.

I have a weak spot for tarts. I like their original egg tarts, but this durian one was a little off though. Maybe durian is better eaten cold?
