Soft cabbage, fried egg, thick slice fried fish and curry rice. Brisk queue expected during lunch time. Will come back for more again.
Noodles could have been a little more al dente but the gravy and "Hae Ko" brought me back to Kek Seng (Penang). Probably one of the better fix for Laksa in SG.
Assam laksa's broth is made from fish, tamarind and ginger flower. A sour and fragrant soup served with chewy noodles. Garnished with pineapples, cucumber, red onion and lettuce. This one here is without fish meat! What?! Yes. It's almost like a vegetarian Dish. But the broth was flavourful, spicy and tangy. The broth really hit the right spot for me. Though I wish there some "chunky fish meat inside"
Ate there thrice and I ordered Set 1 everytime, which is the Chicken Cutlet Curry Set ($4.30). Comes with veg and egg. Located at Centerpoint's basement foodcourt, didn't know of this place until my colleagues brought me there 😂
So damn nice. Missed local food.
