Very polite pair of sisters manning the stall. Ordered Mee Kia dry version. The large bowl is only $4 which is very cheap by today’s standard. Noodles were al dente, the sauce had sufficient heat in the chilli and sourness from the vinegar. The clear soup tasted like it had loads of MSG so I stayed away.

May come back for second try, this time Mee Tai Mak.

I had the largest bowl ($3/$3.50/$4) which came with four fish balls, a few slices of lean pork and fish cake.
.
Personally, I find their fish balls rather generic and nothing to shout about however, I do enjoy the fresh pork slices and sweet tasting fish cake.
.
What stood out for me had to be the noodle and tossing sauce. Although the mee pok was a little on the softer side, it still had a bite and it picked up the savory sauce pretty well. The chili is also aromatic with a manageable spice level.
.
I could do without the fish ball and soup here. Just give me the rest and I will be a happy boy.

If you are craving for some fishball at night and you are around Taman Jurong, head over to this food centre; where you could fix your craving for dinner or supper before 11pm.

For just $3 onwards, you could enjoy a bowl of chewy and bouncy fishball, together with the choice of your noodle.

FOOD: You may have eaten various fishball noodles, mee pok and mee gia dry before but this is really worth trying. You will remember the taste (especially that of the soup!) and come back for more.

PRICE: $2.50 (Small), $3 (Medium; if you don't specify, you'll get this size), $3.50 (Large)

AMBIENCE: Typical market food place. Don't expect it to be spick and span. Expect a row of basins with soap (almost all the time) to wash your hands. (:

SERVICE: It's fast. Due to the variety of food choices they provide, think before you order especially for the picky ones.
1. Type of noodle
2. With or without chili
3. With or without pork lard
4. With or without tow gay etc

CONCLUSION: It opens till really late at night, beyond 12am. Really good supper choice!
