As a Penang born and grow up eating this occasionally back then, sometimes I would miss this dish when living in Singapore.
I’m glad that someone finally brought this unique dish from the Northern region of Malaysia to Singapore.
A Penang food stall at this Toa Payoh coffee shop serving only one dish for now, which is this signature Jawa Mee that constantly attracting queue in the morning.
Authentic taste I’m happy to say, which the yellow noodles topped with crispy cracker, egg, peanuts, lime and sauce.

I always see a queue at this stall, so on the one day with no queue, I swooped! Jawa mee, mee rebus, penang curry mee. Is that orange I taste in the sauce? Or just lime & the color leaving a strong impression? 🤣🤣
