lewu does not disappoint! the sour mango complemented the slightly salty coconut milky rice, and this was a yummy end to the lunch (which was also rice but it’s okay)
A rich and creamy mix of coconut milk and Thai herbs. It was delightful to eat this on a rainy day. The chili oil added a second dimension to the soup. It was an interesting flavour but very homely.
The chicken meat wasn’t very fresh but the highlight was the creaminess of the coconut soup which left me feeling very satisfied after the meal.
I love their tom yum noodles as it tastes really authentic and full bodied! It is spicy so only eat it if you can tolerate spicy food!
The phad thai is yummy too as it's not overly dry and comes with ground peanuts at the side!
Slightly more on the drier side, I felt that the overall dish was not too oily, but there wasn't a very Thai taste to it either. There could have been more Chilli flakes to it. Also, they have 菜圃 in it, I'm not sure whether it is usual? Hmmmm. It lacks the overall phad thai flavour in the entire dish though.
7.5/10
Very good garlic chicken with rice. The taste of garlic is nice and strong with the chicken and it’s just the right kind of salty. This is really not bad. I’ve tried it twice and both times I’ve found it very tasty on a student budget.
Tucked within a row of shophouses along Bukit Timah stands this non-pretentious coffeeshop serving up a Thai food storm. Favourites such as Tom Yum Soup, Pineapple Rice, Mango Salad and Green Curry, every dish was on point with its flavour and texture. The best part? Everything is at affordable prices despite its prime location!
