Ordered the set lunch which came with a iced/hot matcha latte and chicken egg udon soup and a swiss roll. The matcha latte was thick and rich in flavor, and wasn’t too sweet, though the sugar level was fixed. The udon came with egg, chicken thigh pieces and some vegetables. The soup was the clear soup broth but very flavorful and delicious, while the udon wasn’t the usual thick kind but was thinner and really chewy with a good bite. The chicken thigh was soft and tender and vegetables were crunchy and fresh. Overall the meal was really satisfying thanks to the warm bowl of flavorful noodle soup.
Came here since the cafe opposite was full and we were really pleased that we did! The pancakes were warm and fluffy and paired well with the cream and matcha powder. The menu indicated a waiting time of 15 minutes, but it felt shorter than that.
We also ordered a fruit mille crêpe that was very yummy and served almost immediately. Total for both dishes was about $20, and given the portion size the price felt reasonable.
Wasn’t expecting much from a chain I have never heard before but it was surprisingly delightful! 2 thick fluffy pancakes were served in generous cream and matcha sauce and powder, topped with 2 mochi balls and red bean paste. The pancakes were buttery and eggy, hence very fragrant, while fluffy and soft. It went really well with the sweet cream and bitter matcha. The mochi balls were not sweet at all, chewy and had a nice bite to it. It went really well with the sweet red bean paste.
They served Kyoto style of toasted pancake here. The matcha flavour is strong and the pancake very soft and fluffy.
Topped with 2 pieces of mochi and red bean paste.
Attracted by this cake on display, but the grape seems a bit dry. The cake is covered with cream on the top and overall remain soft texture.
A new Japanese dessert shop recently opened at VivoCity, specialising with their signature matcha drinks and desserts.
They offered a wide range of matcha drinks here. For what I ordered here, it comes with 2 pieces of mochi in the drink.
The matcha itself actually sweet enough for me, not too bitter. But adding the Japanese sugar syrup actually added another layer of sweetness to it.
