Finally tried @danlao_sg 's Large Fried Chicken bowl ($7) at Tampines Mall outlet and I was sold 😍
At first look, the fried chicken cutlet given was pretty huge! The batter was light, crispy and flavourful and the best part was that the chicken within was still substantially thick and juicy 😍 very addictive!
Now for the egg, this is what they are famous for. It was done just right, fluffy and flavourful with their signature sauce drizzled on top.
Combining all the elements together with the bed of rice below, this is one satisfying meal that will fill you up! Will be back 😍
It is uncommon to find such noodles in Singapore so I am surprised to find it inside the Tampines Mall Kopitiam food court. The noodles are pulled and cooked with a precise timing control, which resulted in the most amazing QQ texture that you would want for such a noodle dish. The Xi’ A Signature Noodles come with a variety of condiments such as tomato egg, braised pork and vegetables. Mix them well and what is great about these flat and wide noodles is that the garlic chilli sauce mixture is able to latch onto it well, ensuring you get the most flavour out of every bite. The flavour might be unfamiliar to many in the beginning but the more you eat the more you will enjoy it.
🍽️ BBQ Chicken and Fish Fillet @ Riverside Indonesian BBQ $8.50
🍗 🐟The Chicken Thigh is tender and the Dory fish fillet are cooked to crisp at the sides. Both proteins are doused with the Indonesian BBQ sauce, in my opinion it's just Kecap Manis(Indonesian sweet sauce), which is nice for the first few bites but I feel it gets too sweet towards the end.
🍛 You have a option to add curry to your rice and I think you should! It balance out the sweetness of the BBQ sauce abit and also adds flavour to the rice.
🌶️🍳🥗 The chilli, and runny egg yolk together with the curry, forms the golden triangle of condiments. Mixed them all up together and you have flavour explosion every mouthful. Haha. Ok I exaggerated but they do go well together. The cabbage plays the role of clearing your palate in-between the heavy sauces.
Overall, it's a satisfying meal but will only eat it maybe once or twice a year as the sauces and seasoning are really heavy. I believe the meal already provided the sugar and sodium consumption for the month 😂
Savory, but not too salty, would prefer if they added a soft boiled egg instesd of a fried egg and add more veggies.
nonetheless, somewhat satisfy my banmian craving today :)
Delicious! And comes with brown rice option. With kopitiam card, it is $5.22. Yummms.
