The fish was fresh and the soup was very light in flavours and yet tasty too. They even have candles to keep the fish hot allowing us to enjoy it for a longer period of time.

The Hakka Roast Pork Belly was crispy and slightly salty. It went well with rice and the sweet chilli that came with it too.

The beef was tender and very rich in flavour. This was pretty good but didn’t stand out much.

They offered a choice of white or black but you cannot have mix. So I went for the black and I didn’t regret it. It was a huuuge plate of steaming hot carrot cake and yes I couldn’t finish it. But I enjoyed the trying very much. The eggs used were really generous. Got prawns too, but the quality of this carrot cake was so good that they were hardly the highlight. Carrot cake pcs were big and smooth and soft. So good. It was already slightly spicy on its own but in case you need more kick, they provided sambal chili by the side. Seasoning was just right, with a hint of sweetness of the black sauce. Did I mention this was free with Burpple Beyond? I need to stop gushing.
