What's frustrating about this? The fish was fresh, but apart from that, there was nothing that could justify the $55 spend on this. The rice was falling apart when I tried to eat it, wasabi was overwhelming on some of the pieces and the service was transactional.
If you're reading this: I'd very much recommend you take your dollar to Liang Court's Ryoshi Sushi Ikeikemaru for similarly priced, but much better made sushi.
$45 with uni maki. Fresh sashimi and prawns dipped in pumpkin sauce
It's the long weekend! We thought we would start our weekend celebrations early with a chirashi set at Kiraku. Unfortunately, while the sashimi looks amazing, we weren't fazed. At $35, you get five slices of sashimi (salmon, tuna, scallop, amberjack and swordfish) alongside pickled vegetables, miso soup accompanied by a side salad and fruit. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not value for money either.
lunch sets from $20++. the beef was stir fried w teriyaki and onions. a bit of nice marbling, but cut with the grain which I didn't like.
