Owner Lim Chee Meng has been charcoal roasting meats for over 3 decades.
.
Their roast duck has a slight crisp texture to the skin, and the thick cut slices are tender but border on dry, with smoky meaty savoury flavour.
.
The thick gravy over fluffy white rice results in a lovely earthy salty grainy sweet savoury flavour. Finished with fresh cucumber slices with vegetal sweet flavour.

A busy stall whose food can be erratic. You'll get a good but not great meal.
Roast duck was q flavourful, above average but skin wasn't crispy and slightly dry too
Sio bak had a good biscuity skin but slightly hard, and rather lean and dry inside too.
Char siew is probably their best item here, well caramelised on the exterior with a lot of smokiness, and a honey glaze. Lean but still quite tender
Their chili is very unique, an amalgation of all the 5 tastes, and with a lot of subtle complexity. I won't be surprised if they had some secret ingredients inside, that most won't even think of
The roasted meat here is done well. The meat is chewy and the skin is roasted to a perfect crisp that is easy to chew. Would be back here again!
My favourite roasted meats place. All of their meats are on-point and worth every buck. (Even though the prices are above average by the kg) but this plate was VERY reasonably priced.
In this picture is my favourite combo - charsiew and shaorou. The charsiew is glistening with the char sweet salty sauce, and charred to perfection. And tell me you can see the juiciness of the meats!! Really balanced proportion of lean meat and fats too.
The main appeal of the shaorou is the crackling skin — even my friend could hear how crispy it was when I was eating it! Same as the charsiew, the juice and the fat-to-meat proportion is perfect. Have no idea how they do it but it’s always so consistent. Must try.
And, the chilli is also v v fragrant and complements with the meats with its tangy and spicy flavors. Oh and the sauce on the rice is SUPER good w the rice too!!! Wished they gave me more sauce.
There is usually a long queue for this popular stall at Serangoon but I went after lunch so I did not have to queue. They are generous with the servings here and a three meat combination of roasted duck, roasted pork and char siew ($6.50). Char Siew was nicely caramelised, lean and chunky. However, what struck out the most was the roasted pork which was large, mouth watering slices and a very crisply crackling. The duck was good but I don’t have a lasting impression of it.
