I usually go for their hot plate meats or the yukgaejjang at Kim Dae Mun but Miss K was craving for sotong so bopian πππ
We like that their squid are thick cut so there is a nice bite to each squid ring. It is also perfectly executed as the squid was tender yet chewy. The sauce was definitely more spicy than the sauce used for their hot plate chicken and pork but paired really well with the squid.
Its a tad more expensive than their meat options but a good alternative if you are looking for something different!
A well-made Japchae should have a balanced sweet and savoury flavour with slices of meat, crunchy vegetables and a chewy sweet potato noodle texture. The ones here were not too bad, and the texture of the noodles was on point except the sauce is a little too sweet to my liking γ$6.50
Juicy mandu with a healthy amount of pork and vegetables inside with a not-too-thick and nice crispy bite on the skin γ$4
A bowl of cold noodles with lots of vegetables β not just kimchi but your cut vegetables youβd usually find in a bibimbap. I thought this was quite interesting, especially with how the texture of the soba worked out well with the crunchiness of the vegetables. The kimchi also helped to give a gentle, tangy flavour to it all. I can only imagine how much better itβd be with a fried egg with runny yolk, instead of just a boring hard boiled egg.

Hearty and comforting meal located along Orchard Road, but come at non-peak hours if you want to avoid the crowd and secure a table. The beef seafood soup was decently enjoyable, though I thought it could do with slightly more flavour and spice, as well as a thicker consistency. It felt a bit too watery for me after a while.
