What a pity because yesterday was their last day of operations :( will miss my go-to mentaiko pasta (~$13) as i prob wonβt be able to find something as tasty and as affordable anymore
i highly highly recommend their mentaiko carbonara π always wanted to try their other pasta but canβt resist getting the mentaiko carbonara again!!!π cheaper and better than any fancy expensive version out thereπ definitely a go-to craving place for carbonara lovers π
Kabe no Ana always impresses us with their pastas! Personally really like their mentaiko carbonara which was both creamy and eggy :) nice to be balanced out w tomato based pasta if youβre sharing
Ordered the mentaiko pasta with mushroom and prawn. Topped up to include drink and mentaiko toast. Very tasty but abit jelat towards the end of the meal.
I loveeeeee the wedges β please give it a try! It is quite pricey if I recall but they came freshly fried with a side of wasabi and mentaiko sauce.
The neapolitan pastaβs egg was a tad overfried for my preference, and I had a feeling my pasta was sitting around before it was served β the cream dollop had melted and formed a creamy puddle at the base of the pasta. Pasta was a tad overcooked too. The meat sauce was delightful though, and the sausages had a crunch and was so addictive.
Attentive, friendly staff. Amazing and cosy ambience. I really like this place!
I really like how chewy the tagiatelle is here without being too much, and the creamy creamy carbonara. It's pretty worth it even for the $13.90 version! Sadly, the mentaiko taste wasn't that strong and I could only taste a hint of the spicy roe behind the basic taste of heavy cream.
It also needed a lot more parmesan cheese to bring it's flavour to the next level, and the waiter gladly brought us a giant shaker full of parmesan.
