[CLOSED] Jones the Grocer (Mandarin Gallery)

#cravingsatisfied. Crumbly #cake with #creamcheesefrosting. Would have loved it to be a little more moist though! :)

while service was lackluster and coffee was just mehhh, the wagyu beef burger and hollandaise steak more than made up for it! have a happy Sunday!

They have like all kinds of different cheeses in there! Life is perfect to have some prosciutto, brie, blue cheese with some truffle honey on it! Ohh! It tasted sooo good! So far, this is the only blue that I ate! Lol! And of course with a glass of prosecco! One word perfect weekend!

Personally, I found the portion small for its price but quality was good. The French toast, made with two pieces of brioche, turned out to be soft and fluffy. Apart from maple syrup and walnuts, it was served with rich vanilla cream sauce (hidden from view in my picture) and a wonderful sweet and tart mixed berries compote. It's these latter two additions that elevated the French toast to something rather special.

It is impossible for me not to smile when I spot a rainbow cake. Granted it isn't the most interesting in terms of flavours but no one can deny its ability to brighten up our days 😊
This one from Jones was a basic vanilla sponge with cream cheese frosting. What made it stand out was the rather extreme saturation of colours in the cake. There was definitely no holding back on the food colouring here - lol!
