Very tasty but it’s spicy!
💸: $16
💬: Not as xiang as Jem's, but I gotta say that this is one of the better mlxgs out there
p.s: i love black fungus but the ones they had was pretty meh
💵: $17.90
🤔: One of the more xiang malas I've had, definitely on par with Jem's. Ordered zhong la but i definitely thought it could be spicier and less salty. Wide variety of ingredients, and worth the money!
With the cold weather tonight, we made an impromptu decision to give it another try, at Jin Li in TPY Central which led to a twist.
Re-tried with just a Mild- spiciness, it kinda struck the right chord. Just kindly numbing to remind of Mala, we were happily savouring everything in the bowl.
We liked Mala again (although really mildly). We would return for more which was a good thing. And perhaps a step higher of Mala next time?
A new mala spot that opened a couple of months ago & are currently running a continuous promotion of 30% regardless of what you order!
Our massive mountain of items which includes meats, tofu, potatoes, lotus root, black fungus, vegetables, spam, mushrooms, maggie & a couple of others, together with 3 cans of drinks, cost us only $29.60! That’s an average of about $10 per pax, which seemed quite affordable, seeing how much MLXG cost these days!
We went for the less spicy 小辣 which was really just a hint of spiciness, so any person with low tolerance of spice would be able to take! You can also opt for a less oily option, which does help to make the dish less sinful & slightly more enjoyable!
A pretty good place for mala. There were a wide variety of ingredients (about three racks!) and also all of the ingredients were well-cooked and prepared. Paid $18.90 (for so many ingredients!) but that was during their promotional period. They're on Fave as well so mala lovers can regularly return and enjoy the cashback :')
