This don was worth it at it's price point and accompanied with broccoli, tamago, cucumber and a delicious tempura pumpkin. The rice grains were separated and delicious with the sauce. The unagi was soft and tender with a nice charred taste accompanied with a sweet teriyaki sauce.

Unagi sushi has always been one of the classics that I undoubtedly order when I'm in for some sushi fix. This particular one at Itacho Sushi is probably my favourite by far! A thick slab of the fish coated with that glistening savoury sauce makes every bite a highly pleasuring one. Expensive price point at $3.20 but oh well that was sure worth it.

Beef Sukiyaki with Onsen Egg Rice -$12
The Sukiyaki dish consists of thinly sliced meat, usually beef, simmered in a pot of soy sauce, sugar and Mirin; an essential condiment in Japanese cuisine. It is a type of rice wine very similar to sake, however subtly sweet with a lower alcohol content which gets reduced further when heated during cooking.

Beef was tender and flavourful and and miso soup was garnished with bits of tofu and scallion which was not overly salty which is a good thing.

Beef Sukiyaki with Onsen Egg Rice - $12

Beef Sukiyaki is a dish that makes a small amount of beef go a long way. It usually consists of thinly sliced beef slowly cooked in soy sauce, sugar and Mirin which is an essential condiment used in Japanese cuisine; very similar to Sake but with a lot lower alcohol content which gets lower during the cooking process.

Dish was presented well, was tasty and beef was tender and not too chewy. The Miso soup that came along had bits of tofu and scallions which was good to sip on and complimented the dish.

It is currently their aburi fair and we had order quite a few items on their promotion.

Special highlight to the caramel tamago. Tamago was coated with a layer of sugar and torched after to give it a nice crisp taste and also enhance the sweetness from the egg.

Things to note, i personally not recommending the tenderloin beef cube hotplate we have to chew for quite awhile before swallowing.

Itacho Sushi @ Jcube outlet.

Because you can never really have enough of mentaiko πŸ˜‹ Salmon roll torched to perfection and drizzled with mentaiko sauce and fried tempura flakes. One of my faves at Itacho!
