This dessert combination is one of my favourites: Warm and crusty Apple pie with a single scoop of my favourite cookie and cream ice-cream from Island Creamery. This is my feel-better therapy if I’m having a bad day. 😌

Not one who would usually walk into Island Creamery but was actually intrigued by the board placed outside the shop promoting this new flavour β€” the Singapore Milk is an ice-cream churned with milk that is obtained from cows from a farm in Singapore (yes, we have cow farms in Singapore). The milkiness is evident here; perhaps even richer than usual; the flavour seems to bring out the intended flavours really well. Texture-wise, the ice-cream was a tad icy with hard lumps in between β€” still, a pretty decent flavour to go for if you are curious on how Singapore Milk would taste like since it's a pretty unique offering.

Apple pies are my weakness: Warm, cinnamon-y apples in a flaky buttery pie crust, accompanied with a scoop of my favourite cookie and cream ice cream from Island Creamery. The cold and hot combination is the perfect complement for each other. It was reasonably priced as well ($6.50), and there were actually a variety of other desserts that were really tempting: Waffles, Baked Alaska and the popular Dark Chocolate Lava Cake. One of my favourite ice-cream joints in Singapore!

Think of Dark Chocolate Lava and you will probably associate it with hot fudge flowing out from the heart of the cake. Well, not really this version here which they sell at S$6.50. What they have, instead, is half a cup of moist molten dark chocolate cake paired with a scoop of ice cream of any flavour.

So I went for their Burnt Caramel ice cream, to get that bittersweet taste and a light buttery sugary fragrance. I think the combination is quite a good one, really. The serving is quite small though, so I don't recommend this for sharing.

The Baked Alaska is not a commonly found dessert in the streets of Singapore, but this one by Island Creamery is by far one of the nicer ones that I have had since a decade ago. Beneath the flambΓ©ed fluffy meringue lies a scoop of Very Berry ice cream, and the plate is also decorated with raspberry sauce. It gives having desserts in an ordinary ice cream shop a uplifting experience. And while you are there, try to see if you can spot your friends' photos on the shop's wall.

Waffle is deep pocketed and slightly chewy the way I like it. This is not for those who like crunchy waffles though. The ice cream I had (Burnt Caramel) is awesome too. As promised, it has a slightly burnt taste but somehow managed to escape being bitter. Sweetness level is just right too.

You may think of Island Creamery as that spot where students go to enjoy quality ice cream after school, but it is also a terrific spot to order a delightful ice cream cake from. The well-loved Mud Pie ($45 for whole cake, $5.90 a slice) features a trio of ReversO (chocolate), Cookies'n Cream and Burnt Caramel ice cream encased in a thin Oreo shell. Every bite of the oreo base, crumbs and ice cream somehow never gets too sweet, and won't fail to make you feel like a kid again. One Mud Pie can easily feed 10 to 12, plus if you order online, you can request the number of slices you'd like the cake to be cut in, making it easier to serve! This is one treat that's perfect for all ages.

Had this with the boyfriend for dessert the other day. I can't believe I never tried this during JC days. I honestly think this is the most "worth your money" item on the menu for 5.90. It has about 2 different flavors of ice cream in it

Visited Island Creamy at Joo Chiat branch yesterday in the evening. Heard of many good reviews that the ice-cream is very nice. So I went to give it a try today. The store had no patrons only the staff, a pinoy woman who was playing with her phone without knowing that I was in the store. So I just nicely said hi! She appeared to be annoyed. And gave me that glare then walked over to the ice-cream counter from the cashier. I felt that I wasn't welcome to the store. So I asked what is the popular flavor? And she rudely" All in the front." Straight away asked me you want tub or
cup? Obviously I was in front the ice-cream counter..I am like what a day! Don't think the ice-cream is nice! She is really rude! The bad customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. True enough after 5mins, 2 Ladies went into the store to purchase ice-cream and after a while they started to talk to her and came out complaining. Looks like your staff spoiled many people's day on what is supposed to be a happy ice cream day!

Homemade ice cream. My favourite is Pulut Hitam. They specialize in Singapore flavour like chendol, thai ice tea. They have other flavour and done it beautifully.
I frequented this place a lot for Pulut Hitam ice cream 😁

A great place to hang out with friends after school or for a tea break. The ice cream was great but the portion of the waffle was surprisingly large and I didn't manage to finishπŸ˜‚

Haha, midweek escapades with @wxinrong to satisfy a craving for this! First time eating one on my own and I loved every mouth of it 😍😍 Sinful but it's much needed happy food for our souls~~

Used to always visit the King Albert Park outlet whenever I had an ice cream craving but ever since KAP was demolished, I rarely had the chance to :( Finally got to have the mud pie! I really like the three different layers of ice cream and the crunchy top plus base. Too sinful but worth it.

The folks just introduce a new flavour for 2015 - Cereal Milk ice cream made with fresh milk and cornflakes to give it that sweet and savoury taste. Do not miss out their CNY flavours too - Jia Jia (Black sesame), Pineapple tart and Peanut.

One of my favourite sec school hangout last time. And I'm glad the teh tarik ice cream still taste like what I rmbed 10 years ago. Strong tea taste!

Can't believe it's halfway through the semester but I only had my first ice-cream fix today (night actually). I'm having 2 of my favourite flavours - Milo Ping Pong and Nutella. Check out the mini marshmallows in the Milo Ping Pong.

My peers and I lovingly refer to this ice-cream parlour as Island, and it's where we regularly go for our ice-cream fix. The ice-cream is affordable and good (not icy and full of air) and I love the flavours! Some of my favourites are Apple Pie, Blackforest, Nutella, Milo Ping Pong (milo ice cream interspersed with mini marshmallows!) and Fresh Bananas! There's really nothing better than having one of Island's ice-cream cones after a long dreary class ;) The Apple Pie (a real pie) and Mud Pie here are also pretty good.

Waffles a tad dry, however with the maple syrup everything taste better.

It was a simple double scoop ice cream, which are cookies and cream and very berry yogurt. Both are deliciously creamy and I love that I can taste the cookie and the strawberry in the ice cream. Also, the price is affordable, of being $5.20 with $1 addition of Nata De Coco. In all, the place has a nice atmosphere and good ice cream. :)
