Small, light, and juicy with crisped bottom. Enjoyed this side dish as an app while waiting for our ramen. Best paired with their soy sauce on the side

Default order from one of our default ramen go-tos π basic tonkotsu ramen with tender chasu, flavourful broth (alr good, but can be richer for me), hard noodles (served at your preference), and perfectly cooked egg

The past two gloomy days got me thinking of ramen. Had this bowl after a long hot yoga session. Quite weird to crave for something hot after a workout, but it works π€·π»ββοΈ
This Shiromaru Tamago ($17.80++) is my usual Ippudo order - quite plain with the noodles, chasu, egg, black fungus and spring onion - but still satisfying. Ippudo always delivers flavourful broth (havenβt failed me yet). It may seem a bit watery on the photo but itβs still as rich as how Iβve liked it. Chasu is tender, though could be a bit more generous. Noodles are hard (as requested)
When I said I was buying dinner, my dear colleague immediately said "Let's go have ramen @ippudosg because I love ramen plus it is more expensive". Here's what we ordered;
Karaka Tamago
Pork Bun
Karaage
Spicy Chicken Wings
Green Salad
The ramen was served with thin curly noodles, minced meat miso paste, tamago and spring onions. You can customize your spice level from mild to very hot! My personal favorite beside ramen is their signature melt-in-the-mouth Chashu sandwiched in a soft bun. We could not decide which chicken as sides so we ordered both Karaage and Spicy Chicken Wings. Both were equally tasty which we split our share evenly. LOL! I did get a π look when I ordered my Green Salad.
Total damage to my wallet was S$56.50.
Fish and pork broth with two pieces of chashu, an egg, bamboo shoots, beansprouts, and a few other toppings. The soup was thick and flavourful. I loved the onsen egg β I've no idea what they put in the egg white but it was really delicious.
Was craving for a hearty bowl of ramen and decided to come here after school. Ordered the Kura ramen($18). The place was only had very few customers. The servers were attentive and friendly and the wait time was reasonable. There is a variety of ramen to choose from from the menu. Ramen broth was a bit on the bland side. Noodles were perfectly cooked with a springu texture. Char siew was soft and tender. Black fungus gave it that extra crunch. Would come back again to try other types of ramen
