Enjoy dining without burning a hole in your pocket, no membership required
A non-descript place where you're unlikely to find unless guided by familiar folks to a basement dungeon, which is cheerily lit up with Christmas lights - the signature dishes here are their local fares, and I enjoyed the sirloin beef horfun ordered. Well charred. They're know for their signature beehoon and hokkien meet too, but definitely on the pricier side ($20+)
Asked the waitress for recommendations. Flavourful, well cooked with a good amount of pork lard. Would eat again!
"We are famous for our local food!", says the bubbly waitress. I've also read reviews that they're indeed well known for the fried beehoon.

You know I've high standards for hor fun, which needs to come with wok hei regardless of whether it's dry or wet. This doesn't, and the clear gravy could pack more intensity in flavour.
🔸
But i really like the vibes of this place, it was pretty fun to dine here.
A hole in the wall Italian restaurant at the basement of Singapore Land Tower, Il Fiore is packed with a strong lunchtime crowd. But that added to the dynamic vibes of this place which is also a pub with a friendly boss and team of waitresses.
🔸
I couldn't decide between two flavours of pizza, so the manager offered to do two flavours in one. I prefer the Bolognaise which was topped with fresh moist beef though could have been more flavorful. But what I like about both pizza is that they both have thin and crispy crust.
🔸
Probably not a great place for food, but the ambience and service made it a really enjoyable lunch here.
Yummy!
