Reviews

Came after hearing good reviews from friends and this place did not disappoint! I had the 8 course set and I loved the variety of fish (they had seabass, tuna, uni, grouper and a few others), and also how pretty and inviting each sushi looked. But the taste!! The sushi is so tender and melts in your mouth. Amazing experience here! Thanks to Chef Andy who made the whole experience personalised and for kindly explaining each dish. Also impressed that they import all their fish from Japan.

I recently had the chance to try out an omakase meal with my wife for an occasion, and it was seriously impressive! It kicked off with this smooth chawanmushi with crab meat topped with some fresh edamame and flowers – simple but delicious.

Then came the sushi. Every piece was super fresh and perfectly crafted. The tuna and uni were the standouts for me – melt-in-your-mouth good. You could really tell the chef put a lot of care into each piece.

The miso soup was the one that tied everything together and filled in any missing gaps and stomach space that I had (if there was any left) light and warm just what was needed after the few courses.

The meal ended with a light, refreshing jelly dessert that wasn’t too sweet but a perfect way to finish off the evening.

Overall, the whole experience was top-notch, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re into sushi and want something special.

I’ve never been much of a sashimi lover, but this dining experience completely changed my perspective. My husband brought me here, and though I was hesitant at first, I ended up thoroughly enjoying every dish. The meal began with an incredible chawanmushi, possibly the best I’ve ever had, thanks to the generous amount of crab that made it exceptionally flavorful and satisfying.

The sushi platters that followed were a true highlight. Even though raw fish isn’t usually my preference, the freshness and tenderness of the sashimi won me over. The fatty tuna, in particular, was rich, while the white fish had a subtle, clean flavor that I surprisingly enjoyed. The creamy, bold uni (sea urchin) was a standout and a completely new experience for me.

On top of the delicious food, the service from the restaurant manager, Vincent, was excellent, making the experience even more memorable. With such a great mix of flavors, textures, and attentive service, I’ll definitely be coming back!

A truly unforgettable dining experience! Hiryu has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The omakase course was a masterclass in flavor and technique, with each piece of sushi expertly crafted and presented. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the chef's attention to detail was impressive. The service was impeccable, with knowledgeable and friendly staff happy to answer questions. The intimate setting and serene atmosphere only added to the experience. If you're a sushi lover, Hiryu is an absolute must-visit.

This was truly one of the best omakase experiences I’ve ever had.

The meal began with Kegani chawanmushi (horsehair crab) — a generous portion of delicate crab, beautifully incorporated . This was followed by a stunning 9-course sushi selection:
- Hircuice
- Suzuki
- Kanpachi
- Akami
- Tachiuo
- Himie dai
- Uni
- Otoro (my favorite! Exceptionally fresh with a hint of yuzu)
- Toro Taku

Each piece of sushi was incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced, allowing the natural sweetness of the fish to shine through without overpowering the palate.

The meal concluded with a comforting miso soup and a delightful dessert of mochi dusted with soy powder. The mochi wasn’t overly sweet, even with the addition of brown sugar. The nutty soy powder complemented the soft mochi and the brown sugar beautifully.

To top it all off, the chef’s attentiveness and great sense of humor added to the overall experience, making it even more memorable.

Hiryu's omakase was an amazing experience with delicious and subtle flavors. Each sushi piece was carefully made to highlight the best ingredients. The sushi was incredibly tender and flavorful, showing off the chef's expertise. The cozy setting and personalized service made us feel special, like we were part of a private dinner party. With each beautifully presented piece, we felt like we were in a culinary paradise, enjoying the simplicity and beauty of Japanese food
