Slice of grilled freshwater eel glazed with eel sauce served on a bed of rice, onsen egg, red pickled ginger then topped with nori and white sesame seed. The eel was tender with slightly crisp skin. The addition of onsen egg adds creaminess to the bowl 》$19.90
A generous portion of sashimi cubes with a good selection of raw fish. The fishes were fresh and it also comes with salad and miso soup to complete the meal. It’s not the best but worth considering if you want somewhere decent and quiet to satisfy your donburi cravings 》$19.90
We used the 5 kinds of sushi/yakitori promo, and they allowed us to mix (one set sushi, one set yakitori). Sushi was fresh, and yakitori was good! 7/10
We also ordered the garlic fried rice. Whats unique is its crispier than most garlic fried rice as there were lots of shallots and fried crispy garlic. Same may prefer it, some may not, but id say 8/10
I also reccomended the salmon mentai maki $19.90 (9/10). Slightly torched, with cripsy ebi inside, and generous portion with a burst of crispy and juicy goodness with every bite. One of my fav sushi and ill be back for this!
They have a separate burpple menu, we chose the garlic fried rice ($11.90) and bara chirashi don ($19) since mongabong recommended it! The garlic fried rice was the best I’ve ever eaten because the rice was fluffy, aromatic and not too oily. Garlic wasn’t bitter from overfrying too. The don was really yummy because the sashimi were really fresh and the rice was well seasoned with furikake. The price is slightly above average, but ingredients used were really fresh. The staff were super friendly and service was really good. Highly recommended, really worth our support 🥺
1. There is a separate Burpple menu, which is understandable. However the menu is very misleading. There is a lunch set in the Burpple menu for the Chirashi Sashimi Don, however it is not available for 1-for-1. Why put it in the Burpple menu then?
2. The food that is available for 1-for-1 is terribly overpriced. I ordered the Truffle Bara Chirashi Don (worth $24.80 - see picture). The quality of the sashimi is questionable. The rice is not even Japanese rice?? They use long-grain rice. And the worst part is the rice is extremely salty. I wouldn't even pay $10 for this.
