From Haron Satay
Tasty chicken wings $6 for 4.
A must to enjoy together with the chilli sauce.
Yummy indeed, ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!
Cheap and good! It’s the most valuable satay around town. The meat were incredibly chunky (approx 1.5 the thickness and size of normal satay!), same with the peanuts too! Everything was awesome, except for the ketupat which was unfortunately ‘frozen’ and steamed ): But oh well, the highlight is the satay and the sauce! Both easily fare 11/10. It’s my fiancé’s favourite satay in town and now mine too!
And that’s especially since I have to wait for almost an hour to get these charcoal grilled chicken skewers ($0.70 each) that are so well marinated that you can taste the spices and sweetness from each bite.

Most, if not all, of the stalls that are selling satay here will probably entice you with the aroma from grilling the meat skewers at their stall front but most people will usually make a beeline to Haron Satay, which I believe has the better flavour. At $0.70 per stick (beef, chicken or mutton), each satay is grilled upon order and you can be assured that you are getting the freshest batch once your buzzer rings. The meat is well-marinated and well-cooked over the charcoal fire, which also results in a strong smokiness that is present in each skewer. There’s no better way to enjoy grilled meat than on a stick with a dip into the homemade nutty peanut sauce and chase it with some cut onions and cucumbers.

The tender and moist chicken satay was sweet and savoury, and carried a hint of smokiness.

It's easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of good food at East Coast Lagoon Food Village. If you're looking to include a satay option to the mix, be sure to order the Mutton ($0.70 per stick) and Beef ($0.70 per stick) from Haron Satay 55. Thanks to the lemongrass in the marinade, the grilled meat carries an irrestible aroma. For maximum pleasure, dip it the creamy peanut sauce served on the side.
