Three huge handmade dumplings on a bed of noodles tossed in chilli and dark sauce, vegetables and a side of green chillies. The noodles are springy without the taste of alkaline and dumplings were stuffed with a generous amount of meat with a good and firm texture. I’ll choose these huge and flavourful dumplings over dry and thinly sliced char siew to go with my noodles 》$3.50
Noodles are tossed in chilli and dark sauce, accompanied with char siew, vegetables, wanton and a side of green chillies. The noodles are cooked to a springy texture with a good bite, char siew turns out to be on the dry side but the plump and nicely seasoned wanton compensated it.
Many flocked to this old school wanton mee stall for a simple dinner or supper. Queues can get pretty long during dinner time and continue even past 8:30pm during my visit 》$3
My last meal outside before lockdown 2.0 and it's disappointing. I can't believe I waited all these years to try this, nor can I believe it's so popular. Char siew was like tree bark and noodles forgettable. Only wantons were decent.
Wonderful plate of wanton mee. The noodle is QQ, tossed in yummy sauce and chilli. Char siew is non fatty and thinly sliced. Will be back for more! Night owls should drop by the stall and have a plate of this delicious noodles!

This is a popular dinner / supper option in the Tanglin Halt area. The wanton mee here has the old school taste, which is quite hard to find these days. The sauce, the very lean char siew and the slurpy wonton with crunchy water chestnut inside all make for a fairly unique tasting noodle experience. Just ask the long queues every night!
