Amazing price point as far as I’m concerned.
But bear in mind the mains have minimal protein (curries/stews/bakes alike). It’s really mainly carrots/potatoes. Okay flavour wise but really not satisfying if you’re a meat lover like me.
The matcha ($4) and soup ($4.90) however are tastefully flavourful. Note how the prices are also back on the mainstream range. Figuring this is probably how they build towards a profit margin with.
5.5/10
Grasso Coffee offers 3 small plates of mains for just $11.50, which is super worth it in my opinion. The small plates aren’t even that small – they’re probably more than half the size of what you get at any other cafe AND the dishes are high quality. The baked rice is really filling despite looking tiny in size, and VERY creamy. I’d recommend this for those who thinks that 18 Chefs’ baked rice is too dry. If you’re going with a friend, you can easily share the 3 small plates and be full. If you and your friend have small appetites, go for the 2 small plates for $8 instead!
Saw this new cafe at commerze and decided to try this unique drink, red eye. It consist of espresso, hazelnut, vanilla, caramel sauce and normal kopi. Unique taste but not too much to my liking. As for the latte, the peppermint taste wasnt prominent at all. I guess it's a nice place to have coffee but I might not go back.

A small hole-in-the-wall cafe that has been renovated recently to look a bit more modern. Flat White was smooth, creamy and had a distinct touch of nuttiness; easily hitting cafe standards. For those who prefer their Traditional Kopi, they do serve that here as well!
Survived the sweetness last night, waking up looking like a 🐼. Good morning! And more sweetstuff with favourite waffles & Grasso's iced caramel corn S$5.80.
