I had expected this to be reliable. It's huge as usual and the taste was on point, but the fish was very fishy and the cuts were messy. Shouldn't it be consistent, fleshy, boneless cuts?
If you didn't know, China's salted egg is different from Singapore's. It's more sugary, less umami. This was their style. Soggy too.
I had high hopes for this. Aren't the Chinese great at lamb? The meat was average, with a lot of tendon that couldn't be bitten. Flavour was okay.
Another dish destroyed by takeaway haha. Doesn't it look just like shabu shabu pork? For some reason it also came with chilli oil. Not authentic imo.
So this is how ugly saliva chicken is when you dump it in a box. But the most nonsense thing was this was only one chicken wing. That's $8. And it lacked the silky texture of usual saliva chicken.
Basically a stir fry of three ingredients grown on the ground, in this case eggplant, potato and bell pepper. Maybe the most successful dish this meal.
