I grew up attending my granny's bd celebrations at gim tin at amk, as she approved of the orh nee there. Today, we brought my parents and in-laws to gim tin's newest (though not new) outlet - Tim Palace at Toa Payoh Safra. It was a combined celebration of sorts - fathers' day, my belated bd and belated wedding anniversary. The food's more modern with a bit of glam - salted egg prawn ball wth curry leaves and almond,Ee fu noodles, cod fish with black garlic paste(v novel), shark's fin soup huge lump of sea cucumber...and the must-have orh nee.
