Well-cooked, with crispy skin to boot, served with some pretty tasty peppers and buttered baby potatoes. I would however, switch out the Hollandaise for a more acidic sauce to balance out the fattiness of the salmon.

Basic fare done right – 300g of tender, well-seasoned meat on a bed of hearty mashed potatoes. A carnivore couldn’t ask for more really.

Get your hands on some off-menu Wagyu ribeye before it’s gone at Geaks. The rich and flavourful Wagyu doesn’t need the hollandaise sauce at all, but please give me more of that delicious chunky potato mash.

Geaks' housemade mushroom soup is chockful of chopped mushrooms that lends great texture to the creamy base. The portion is generous, so share it with a friend, and make sure to have it with their crusty garlic bread too.

Mad crunch on the crispy, beer-battered wings over piping hot, juicy flesh. Each plate comes with 3 of these beauties that I can imagine I'll order again with their happy hour beers.

At $4.90 for 3 pieces, their deceptively simple fried chicken wings were quite a steal and a must-order there. Marinated and deep-fried with their secret blend, it does resemble prawn paste wings in terms of texture and slightly in taste without the accustomed and sometimes pungent shrimpy fragrance. Hence, upon clarification, we were pleasantly surprised to find that their batter does not include prawn paste. A satisfying bar bite, it was overall well-balanced with its delicately crisp exterior and tender flesh hidden underneath.
