Portion of soup was huge, but there were only 5 pieces of beef in the soup, which I was slightly disappointed by. There were also bean sprouts, glass noodles, eggs and oyster mushrooms which they sliced thinly. Soup was slightly spicy but flavourful, and went really well with the bowl of rice given. Side dishes were also generous, with the mash potato and sausage being really delicious that we asked for a refill.
I’ve tried a few of the Korean restaurants around this area and this is probably my favourite so far - considering price, portion and quality! Special mention goes to their seafood pancake that is really flavourful and crispy (my favourite thing about it) and the japchae - which I tried for the first time recently and was very pleased with it. Well balanced with a generous amount of veggies etc in the dish. The black bean noodle is a dish that I usually get, particularly because it’s so affordable! Only $12 (if I’m not wrong) for a very satisfying portion. Quality of the side dishes are also definitely not neglected :-) They have a BBQ menu there as well but I’ve never tried their BBQ selection. Do be mindful though, that since the area is small, it does tend to get pretty noisy during peak hours so weekday lunches are a win!
Went to Gangnam BBQ and ordered the pork belly set ($48) that comes with side dishes, one soup of your choice and a steamed egg! Also ordered a flying fish roe rice balls ($10)😇
I loved the food here!! Hearty and delicious😋Pricing wise was pretty affordable compared to competitors along the same street😅 Staff were also nice and helped us cook our pork belly☺️ Paid $30/pax (2 pax) after gst and svc charge and overall ratings are a 9/10!! Would definitely head back again!!🥰
