Not the first visit to FO.H Cafe, but I figured it would have been more productive for me to do my work here rather than have my cuppa ordered at Rabbit Owl Depot instead (which is still going to be from here anyway).
It's not the first time I have had a Flat White here (which is pulled from Allpress Espresso's Carmelo blend — it promises a nutty cuppa that is also well-executed here for its smooth and creamy), but it feels like the cup has gone wayyy bigger now for $4.50 (for a single shot) than when they had first started. Kudos to the barista though; was pretty impressed with how balanced it was especially given the weird sizing of the cup ...
Set in The Woodgrove (opposite NTUC Finest), this casual, hole-in-the-wall cafe is all set to bring great coffee to the Woodlands enclave — great news for Burpplers in the far north! Burpple Tastemaker Xing Wei Chua has given their coffee (made using Carmelo blend beans from Australia's Allpress Espresso) two thumbs up, so you can be assured of a great cuppa! Wake up on a lazy morning with the Flat White (from $4.50) or a Mocha Latte ($6). The coffee is what's worth the trip here but if you're peckish, you'll be glad to know that the tiny kitchen turns out a compact menu of simple eats like croissant sandwiches ($6.90), crustless quiches ($4.90, or $6.90 with a mixed green salad) and air-fried Truffle Fries ($8).
Avg Price: $10 per person

More of a hole-in-the-wall cafe with a good amount of seats (12 tables with a mix of two and four seaters), FOH Cafe has no actual kitchen area of its own (the kitchen is more like a small pantry), so do expect more simple fare for its food menu such as croissant sandwiches, burger, salad and a couple of variation of fries. The quiches served here are crustless quiches, available in an assortment (there are also mushroom and capsicum quiches available) or with mesclun salad. Quite serviceable fare here given the limitations of their operations, with the quiche warmed up upon order — definitely works if you are looking for something to just fill up the stomach with. They also serve a variety of cakes such as Brownie (an even an ala-mode version), Cheesecakes etc.
From FOH Cafe newly-opened within The Woodgrove at Woodlands just 20mins by foot away from me (finally!). Coffee is surprisingly good, brewed with the Carmelo Blend from Allpress Espresso in Australia. A very solid cuppa that is creamy and smooth with a nutty flavour profile and a medium body; even impressed with how good the frothing is done — the cuppa didn't even start bubbling up at all. Definitely the sort of cuppa I really wished for and now have in the neighborhood I often say "it has nothing interesting in there"!
Delicious earthy coffee vibes for you this morning! ☕️🌵
