nth time coming here but i love fish & co’s student meal so much!
we both got the danish fish & chips with mozzarella in the fish fillet for $13.90 as part of their student meal menu. there are various mains available, at different price points starting from $10.90, with $13.90 being the most expensive on the list.
for less than $15, i think such a filling and SATISFYING meal was absolutely worth it :-)
best part is that fish & co’s student meal promo is available on weekends and PHs too!!!!!
i sound like i got sponsored lol but fr i love fish
n co’s fish n chips. pls try.
fish wasn’t as fresh as i had remembered the last time i ate it but it it still super crisp and fried to perfection. portion is big and student promo comes with free flow drinks too!
Fish here is always crispy and fried to perfection. Chips are always very good too!
I have been a loyal patron of Fish & Co. for years, and have always ordered their Seafood Platter for 2. Unfortunately, it seems that this is the year that the quality suffers the biggest drop. The paella rice was not as fragrant, the mussels were small and hardly fleshy (probably frozen), the grilled fish lacked flaky bite and the fries were not as crisp nor salty. The only thing that remained delicious were the butterflied prawns.
This came with a salad buffet during lunch!
I ordered a side of truffle fries with the fish and it was the better of the two. The fries were crisp and the truffle oil was enough to make it stand out from normal fries, though I wouldn't exactly say that the truffle aroma was very strong. Unfortunately, they used white fish which is a bit dry for my liking. Thus, despite the batter being tasty, I was not too impressed with the fish. I'm not sure why they have not switched to using exclusively cod or haddock for fish & chips - it may be a bit more expensive but well-worth it in my opinion!
On my plate is tuna salad, mesclun, roasted eggplant, tomatoes and hummus. I liked the tuna salad and roasted eggplant the best. The hummus was by far the most disappointing, as I could detect the graininess of unblended chickpeas.
Other options included a penne salad, antipasti, tortilla chips and salsa, and a watermelon passionfruit mojito-like mix. I don't think it is very good value for $12.95 (++) to be honest. :/
