From the Burpple community

- Coffee was very smooth and aromatic though the gula melaka flavour was rather faint β˜•οΈ

- Sweet, light and refreshing, the right drink to cool off the spice.

- Topped with loads of thin shreds of cheese, reminding me of those in martabaks, Indonesian sweet pancakes.
- Mashed avocado was really buttery creamy, thick and didn’t taste raw at all, pairing well with the cheese with hints of milky sweetness probably from mayo spread on the sourdough πŸ₯‘

- Mushy egg noodles absorbed all of the goodness of the gravy that had a silky consistency, so addictively savoury with a runny egg!
- Fried chicken was flavourful and well-marinated, skin remained crispy in the pool of sauce πŸ—
- Got level 1 spice which I’d say was equivalent to mala xiao la, carrying a decent kick of spiciness.

As you might expect of a coffeehouse, @fangkocoffee does some sterling java. Their unique coffee is the Avocado Coffee ($8.80 nett), which has espresso poured all over purΓ©ed avocado. The creaminess of the avocado is even more intense than that of milk, so it’s an odd but super effective dairy alternative for the lactose intolerant. Oddly enough the flavour combo actually works here, mainly due to avocado being naturally bland. The creaminess of the avocado gives a tremendously thick body to the mildly bitter and aromatically roasty espresso, creating a coffee flavoured thick shake. Definitely gotta try it to believe it.β €

As you might expect of a coffeehouse, @fangkocoffee does some sterling java. Starting off with their cold brewed Fangko Melaka ($6 for 8 ounce, $11 for 16), pure Arabica beans are cold brewed and infused with gula melaka. The natural sweetness & flavours of caramel, coffee & nuttiness that are inherent to gula melaka are a perfect pair with the milk coffee. Probably the best sweetener for coffee ever, and I might just have to add gula melaka to my cuppas from now on.β €
