Hearty Western cuisine with some Asian platters, The Embassy is a pretty solid cafe-restaurant in Starling Mall.

My table had the Pulled Beef Sandwich, a burger called The Guv, Embassy Nachos, and Nasi Lemak Kg. Pisang. Only the nachos disappointed with the lack of toppings, but the Pulled Beef Sandwich was a definite star.

I'd come back to try out their coffee selections, as well as their pasta, and maybe their buttermilk chicken burger.

Would recommend to check it out if you're in the area, but do note their longer serving times due to their 'scratch kitchen'.

Tucked away on the second floor of Starling Mall, The Embassy Cafe is blessed with plenty of sunlight and features charming murals and a diverse menu. Burpplers working in Damansara Uptown, here's a new lunch locale to uplift your afternoons. There is more than enough to satisfy different palates, from lavish local rice plates to classic paninis and burgers. The waiter will recommend a Embassy Nasi Istimewa (RM28) and we concur! The pineapple fried rice is surrounded by heaps of anchovy and tempe sambal, mango kerabu, fried cabbage AND a creamy ayam pindang to boot. Unless you're working a half-day shift, be sure to share this food coma-inducing meal! Meanwhile, Western-loving diners should order the Synfull Roast Chicken (from RM26), a wholesome slow-roasted chicken, flanked by roasted vegetables and rosemary butter potatoes. Avg price per person: RM35

The Embassy is aptly named, a place for diners stumped between the East and West. Had their Nasi Istimewa (RM28) - an ambitious feat for lunch. The pineapple fried rice comes with mounds of sambal, mango kerabu, fried cabbage and on the side, a bowl of ayam pindang. It lacks little in flavour and portion, but should probably come with a warning to share. The Flat White (RM11) is served hot and strong, as if they knew help is needed to stay awake post-lunch.
