Popular Western smokehouse Meatsmith partners with Pullman Singapore Orchard for a 2 weeks residency in Eden Restaurant. Signatures of Meatsmith such as the not-to-be-missed Meatsmith Wagyu Burger, Beef Brisket and desserts such as Roasted Marshmallows and Peach Cobbler will be made available for order. This Western-Asian collaboration also includes The Pullman Platter that comes with the most amazing corn bread with burnt butter, crab cakes, pork belly burnt ends, lame satay, shrimp paste chicken and beef short rib rendang.
For Christmas this year, Eden Restaurant in Pullman Singapore Orchard brings diners on a sleigh ride through Asia with the 3-course Festive Dinner Set staring with the duck foie gras with a yuzu and mango crystal before a choice of peppered hoisin glazed short ribs or the Nyonya sambal turkey roulade. For dessert, you will be served a refreshing citrus lemon curd tartlet. To go alongside the meal, you can top up with the festive cocktails, especially the jolly belle femme and snowy Christmas sangria, the latter containing a mixture of red wine, port wine and grand marnier.
Diners can start off with the refreshing appetisers such as the Tuna Ceviche with Ikura ($26) that pays homage to the raw fish salad from the Northeast region of Thailand as yellowfin tuna is marinated in a citrus-based mixture and served with a creamy coconut sauce, finger lime and ikura to bring out the flavours of savouriness, tanginess, and sweetness. The Eden Crab Cake ($26) comes with a chili-lime aioli that complemented with the sweetness from the crab meat.
Moving onto the bigger sharing plates are the Satay Lamb Rack ($40), Steamed Atlantic Cod Fillet ($38) and Crusted Grilled Pork ($34). Diners who stay away from lamb due to the gaminess will be surprised at how the Satay Lamb Rack tastes as the spice marinate permeates through the meat, taking away the gaminess and with the grilling process, it creates a nice char aroma and smoky flavour. The piece de resistance and headliner will be the Szechuan T Bone Steak ($138, 2 pax) as quality grain fed beef is marinated with a homemade blend of Szechuan spices, grilled to juicy tenderness and a medium-rare doneness. It would have been perfect if the spiciness and numbing sensation be tuned up a few notches for the ultimate beefy experience.
Tipples to go alongside the food include the crafted cocktails such as Wild Berries ($16) which contains a touch of melati and everything berry, while the Singapore Is A Jungle ($20) is a visual spectacle of Myerβs dark rum and Campari shaked with fresh honey pineapple, vanilla and fresh lime juice.
