Its Chinese name more power - 六味鸡肉汤. But I'm underwhelmed. I've heard so much about them and yes the soup itself I really could feel "power", but the meat was lousy and I didn't like that all the herbs were in a packet instead of swimming in the soup. Yam rice was not bad.
A family favourite with it's nutritious soups brewed to exude it's wholesome depths of flavours - 真材实料 . It's a steal for how filling it is with it's generous meat portions.
We love the mushroom rice, and the radish egg (for only $4)
A down to earth place with heavenly flavours
Jesus christ their soup tastes so clear. Just as it is hard to describe to someone the colour red when he's blind, i Find it hard to describe how this soup tastes as well. Theres a lot of flavours, but the soup lacks "body" in the best, and obviously intended way. It's true how u can really taste the ingredients inside. There's a pronounced sweetness but somehow not too overwhelming. And the herbs are in a bag for convenience of eating. Chicken was pretty tender too, probably cooked separately. Masterful soups here that really exceeds understanding
The Healthy Chicken Soup is a solid bowl of herbal chicken broth.

It's half a chicken but it's not the chicken soup. Very Tender but slightly dry, and the sauce was milder than i would have liked after the other explosively flavourful items i had from here.
Btw i forgot to take a pic of the Salted veggie duck soup but holy f888 it's good. Yes it's umami, and the Salted veggie taste is strong enough with some heat as well, but it's really good beyond what i imagined. I dont like this kind of soup generally, and i rarely go back to the same restaurant as a standard principal. However after my first sip im heading back the next day.
Despite the ulu location, this absolute gem of a place is a must try!!
This sambal was more salty and sweet, less umami but it's absolute bomb. Its freshly prepared but it's super fast lol. The kangkong was soft too and i loved it, goes super well w rice. Must try
